It's not beeswax, don't let the labels full you. The word "organic" is even spelled wrong on the label. If you're just looking for a wax to make candles, this will work. If you're looking to make cosmetics and need real beeswax, this isn't it. It's either cut with paraffin or another wax, or not beeswax at all. A simple test is to hold a pellet tightly between your fingers - beeswax will get sticky, this does not. It doesn't smell like beeswax either... returning.

Seems like good quality white beeswax to my inexperienced eyes and nose; I used it to augment soy wax for a candle blend and helped reduce frosting, and it improved the texture well as it should. It does lend a phenolic/plasticy smell a bit, which I think is characteristic of most white beeswaxes, but for my low dosage in my wax it wasnt too noticable. However, it may impact unfragranced products that use a high concentration of this stuff, like an unscented lip balm, but why use only white beeswax for that anyways? The packaging leaves a lot to be desired. The package says it’s “100% ORGANLC”— I highly doubt this is organic. Kind of unsettling that there is no seal of authenticity for the organic claim since it is mentioned twice on the label, and makes you wonder what else the “brand” might be stretching the truth about. If I wanted to use this for organic cosmetics, I’d probably look elsewhere and shell out some more $$ for a more legit brand, but for my smelly candles this works great. I might buy again for candle wax augmenting, though! EDIT: update: I’ve bought this again for wax blending, and for whatever reason, the new wax pellets leaves behind hard-to-melt translucent “shells” of the outermost layer of the pellets behind in the molten wax. They float around and cover the back of a spoon if dipped into and pulled out. They do eventually melt (after a long time at a higher heat) but I never experienced this before and makes me wonder what could be so different—maybe the pellets are more oxidized?

I wish I could do negative stars. The bag had split open in transit and there were wax pellets everywhere. It smells wrong for it to be all beeswax. I am so very disappointed in this purchase.

I'm torn writing this...these ARE beeswax and they are exactly what they're advertised to be. Worked well in DIY deodorant. However, as other people stated, I opened this amazon box and found that this packaging was so cheap that the entire bag had opened and half of the beeswax pellets were loose in the box and the beeswax had melted and squashed on other things I had in the package thus wasting alot of it and almost ruining my other purchases. For all the other sources of beeswax on amazon, I would never buy this brand again just because of that. It's really a shame because the product itself is good....

While I have nothing really to compare this too, it was “okay”. The packing was poor, it was opened within the Amazon package and the wax spilt out. There are typos in the text on the package, so it makes me wonder if the material is truly beeswax. Did take a while to melt (again I have nothing to compare to, so perhaps it is normal to take higher temps/longer time to melt).

I was stretchy about this because of some reviews so I first ordered 2lbs. That came fast and great and smells good so I ordered 20lbs of it and it was good no chemical smell. Also it melted perfectly. Fast shipping also.

I'm only giving this 4 stars because the bag wasn't properly sealed and I ended up picking out beeswax pellets from the box it arrived in and it took quite some time. Good thing I'm using it for candles and not beauty products because I also had to pick parts of the box out of it.
