    • Don't open the case upside down

Excellent set. Good size range. All sizes present as advertised. Used the sockets both directly on a ratchet as well as on extensions. They all fit well and work as intended. Convenient storage case, just don't open it upside down or half the sockets will fall out.

Quality is at least on par with my older Craftsman stuff (just fine for a shade tree guy like me), but I can see the sizes well! Like: having all my 3/8"dr impact sockets, SAE & metric, deep & std, all in one sturdy, formed box with 2 HD clamps for secure closure. Also like the fact each socket is stamped AND printed with size. Dislike: the lead-in bevel for many of the hex sockets have a sharp edge which may damage the fasteners, especially when used with an impact gun. I'd like to buy more Gearwrench 1/2" dr impact socket sets, but they aren't as conveniently packaged. I would like to have deep and shallow 1/2"dr SAE impacts in one sturdy form-fitted box, and deep & shallow 1/2"Dr metric impacts in another sturdy, form-fitted box, as well. But for some reason they don't package them that way. ... show more

i'm giving these 5 stars because of the price, not because they are great sockets, They're just so so OK. And the finish is terrible. But I only paid seventy dollars for an entire set of name brand sockets that cost $20 less than three Snap-On sockets alone. Would I use then at work? Absolutely not. The media could not be loaded. The sockets and case are good quality with just minor issues. The laser etching on the sockets appears to be weak sauce. But fortunately there is also size stamping on the sockets. The case only captures the top half sockets, the bottom sockets are just resting in their spots. So if you don't open the case in the correct orientation all sockets fall down. Guess how I know? But since I have them in socket organizers in my tool box the case issue doesn't bother me. The case however does have nice metal buckle clasps on the front, and plastic clips on the sides to keep all sockets secured when closed. The last thing I noticed are they appear to be less substantial than my other impact sockets. I put an 8mm next to an 8mm from Kobalt, and these look like chrome sockets painted black. But time will tell if they hold up to the abuse of an impact wrench. ... show more
