They're GearWrench - what more would need to be said really? They are ergonomic type designed handles (which every tool maker claims) but these are actually comfortable and easy to grip and hold while pulling hoses. Three sizes will fit most hoses the average Joe will run into and the few I have that weren't exactly a perfect fit, still came off with a little extra grip and a minor bit of finesse. The price is good also for a tool most handy dandy shade tree mechanics won't use very often and they pay for themselves the first time you run into a hard to get at hose! Saved my knuckles a few times already also! Pretty decent grips on the handles and above average fit & finish as usual for GW tools. ... show more

These work great for pulling small hoses off of connectors without causing damage. Work great in confined areas and keep your hands away from hot engine parts. Can also be used to twist new hoses back onto connectors. If you use them just once, you'll get your money's worth in saved time, injury and frustration. When I first recieved these pliers I used them on a repair for an old dodge truck(they worked very well)They do the job they were made for and they seem to be made well with no slack between them(even though these pliers have made in china on them,not u.s.a patent like on the picture)they do work very well,I'll see how they hold up in the shop for a year and return to update if they fall apart(which I doubt they will,these pliers are very well made). ... show more

Didn’t want the expensive tool truck option, gear wrench hasn’t let me down yet. These have been used almost daily and really help on fuel tanks or just hard to reach disconnect lines for fuel and evap. They are worth the money

    • Very Useful Tools
Just got these in. Haven't used them yet, but they appear well built like my other GearWrench tools. I have a 97 Nissan pickup with aging vacuum lines. Was worried about the brittle nature of the 14 year old plastic barbs that are connected to the vacuum lines. These specialty pliers will give me more confidence in my task of replacing ALL the lines.. If you work with vehicles on a regular basis or just want the "Right Tool" for the job, then get these. If you look at my recent reviews, you'll notice I've purchased some GearWrench products all the way back to the originals. I know some balk at their country of origin, but as long as the tools work, they last, and the company backs the product, I don't care. I do a lot of shadetree car work at home, so my tools go through less than the professional, but more than the normal folk. GearWrench has impressed me each and every time. And these pliers are no different. They work. They work well. I also like the way they open, so that small spaces are no big deal. If you're looking for some hose pliers in the extended length.
