Didn’t want the expensive tool truck option, gear wrench hasn’t let me down yet. These have been used almost daily and really help on fuel tanks or just hard to reach disconnect lines for fuel and evap. They are worth the money

If you look at my recent reviews, you'll notice I've purchased some GearWrench products all the way back to the originals. I know some balk at their country of origin, but as long as the tools work, they last, and the company backs the product, I don't care. I do a lot of shadetree car work at home, so my tools go through less than the professional, but more than the normal folk. GearWrench has impressed me each and every time. And these pliers are no different. They work. They work well. I also like the way they open, so that small spaces are no big deal. If you're looking for some hose pliers in the extended length.     • Great value & very functional.
These are not Snap-On quality, but still well featured and great value for the money! Having the three different sizes is a definite plus (much better than one expensive pair). The serrated jaws grip well, and the handles are comfortable (plus black doesn't show the dirt). These pliers are also a good useful length (13" not 10"). The compound action is not as noticeable as I thought it might have been, but that's not all bad. GearWrench seem to have struck a good compromise, which allows the jaws to open a decent amount in relation to the handles AND also retains a good leverage ratio so there is no need to squeeze the handles excessively. I would have preferred slightly better finished plier tips, over the fancy plastic presentation tray. However, I'm very mindful of the fact I didn't pay much money for this compound action triple set. Recommended for sure. ... show more

    • Easy to use
These work great for pulling small hoses off of connectors without causing damage. Work great in confined areas and keep your hands away from hot engine parts. Can also be used to twist new hoses back onto connectors. If you use them just once, you'll get your money's worth in saved time, injury and frustration. Be careful, once the others in your shop use them, they'll want to steal yours. ... show more

They're GearWrench - what more would need to be said really? They are ergonomic type designed handles (which every tool maker claims) but these are actually comfortable and easy to grip and hold while pulling hoses. Three sizes will fit most hoses the average Joe will run into and the few I have that weren't exactly a perfect fit, still came off with a little extra grip and a minor bit of finesse. The price is good also for a tool most handy dandy shade tree mechanics won't use very often and they pay for themselves the first time you run into a hard to get at hose! Saved my knuckles a few times already also! Pretty decent grips on the handles and above average fit & finish as usual for GW tools. ... show more

finally!!!! a long nosed pliers that will sneak by tight spots and grab on and never let go. If you been waiting for some x frame pliers that will tie onto hoses and wiggle them right off you have found them. Note to self don't be having a cold beer in the shop and show off to your buddies by grabbing your finger to show how they work. It's like looking at the last piece of meatloaf at the dinner table and your father gives you the look. your gonna loose a finger if you try for that. These pliers are the real deal. ... show more

All right, I’ve been working on cars for a long time and I’ve never seen anything like these! These are downright cool. I am really glad I bought them, even though I haven’t even had and excuse to use them yet.
