I was hesitant to buy a case without actually setting my bass in it. Very interesting open design internally allows for just about any bass to fit. Although this open design looks like the instrument could slide or bounce around under severe impact. I think for just getting tour bass around from home to gig or practice the treasured goods inside will be quite safe. I wouldn't use this to ship an instrument or check it on a flight. Second attempt to get a hard case for an electric bass on Amazon. This one arrived, finally a correct size —but looked used, beaten and torn exterior dings and dents and rips to the tolex exterior. One huge section of trim on side wasn't even finished correctly or well (see Photos), and was separating and lifting up. Really horrible, shoddy craftsmanship OR perhaps insanely poor quality control —you decide I guess. Shame because it seems like decent potential, but if it won't last from the factory bench to my house how long will it last in use after purchase? Waste of time. ... show more

This is a decent case for $70.00, however, I was extremely disappointed when this case arrived empty, without a guitar. It arrived promptly in excellent condition. I have no complaints because you get what you pay for. If I was using it for touring, I would remove the handle and reattach it with some bolts or screws and probably either change or reinforce the latches because all the hardware is cheap as expected but perfectly serviceable for local gigging. The good news is that it fits my P-Bass and hopefully will fit my Musicman Stingray which is the instrument for which I bought it. ... show more
