I actually bought this washer at Home Depot, but HD only allows 500-word reviews and this review needs to be more than 500 words. Home Depot was great. The delivery guys were great. The washing machine worked great for 11 months then it stopped in the middle of a load and wouldn't drain. It took 4 different tries calling GE to get a service appointment. I am so frustrated right now, I wish I had not bought this model and opted for a low-tech simple washer. Thank goodness it's still under warranty. I am going to have to extend my warranty because I am sure the next repair will be more than what I paid for the darn thing in the first place. Getting an appointment for repair was a nightmare and took 4 tries. The first time I called they told me it was going to be a week before they could get someone out to me. I told the gal on the phone that my clothes would be a rotted mess by then. She didn't seem to care and started to go on about my machine not being under warranty which it is. The second time I called back they explained that I had to get a local person. They gave me a phone number for a company that didn't service my area - another dead end. At this point, I thought that I should at least try to rescue my clothes. My son helped me drain the washer. What a disaster. There is no way to drain this machine if it is sitting on the floor. Not only do I now have a large heavy load of stinky soaked clothes, but every towel in my house is now soaked with stink water from the washer with no way to wash them BECAUSE I CAN'T GET AN APPOINTMENT. I then tried making an appointment via their website which they aggressively steer you toward on the phone, BUT you can't make an online apt without going through their chatbot which was absolutely useless. On my fourth try, I called the 1-800 number on the online scheduling page. This person I got on the line was super helpful and I now have an appointment. I don't dare let my warranty expire on this technological monstrosity - engineered obsolescence at its finest. ... show more

    • Moldy smell, awful tech support, poor draining
This machine looks great and has all the bells and whistles but as a washing machine it functions poorly, builds up mold quickly and often breaks down. The basic functionality of this machine is poor and GE is awful to deal with when it breaks. Don’t recommend this or any GE product.

Bought this model 14 months ago and today, it's completely dead. No power, no nothing. $120 to have a technician to come out and look at it plus parts and labor. Avoid GE appliances like the plague.

Delivery was fast and the delivery drives took it out of the box outside and brought it into my basement for me. They also took the box. Very easy to install and works wonderfully. Everyone I've spoke to says we got the best price for this machine & I am very happy with this purchase. You need to purchase the hose and washers separately. ... show more
