Description

The Wire-Free Smart Motion Sensor adds programmable motion to Cync Smart Bulbs, Smart Switches and Smart Plugs. The indoor motion detector automatically turns lights and devices on when motion is detected in the room and turns them off when the room is unoccupied, making it easy and convenient to control bedroom lights, bathroom lights, smart bulbs, smart plugs, and smart light switches. The Bluetooth indoor motion light sensor connects wirelessly to Cync Smart Bulbs, Smart Plugs and Smart Switches via the Cync App, powered by Savant, to provide whole room motion control. The motion settings are adjustable so LED lights can come on slowly at nighttime or be set to deactivate during certain times. Set lights to turn on based on natural light and motion in the room. Pair with a Cync Smart Plug and automatically turn off devices like curling irons after you’ve left the room. With a replaceable battery rated to last over two years and multiple mounting and positioning options, it's easy to get expansive motion coverage anywhere in your home with this motion detection light.

  • No Light Switch Required!
Size: 1 Pack
I recently installed under cabinet lighting for my mother, and decided to give it some smart home flair. The light strips are controlled by C by GE plugs, and I decided to give this a try as a way of turning them on. Set up was pretty painless, and it's not to hard to configure down the road - but keep in mind that when you do want to change the settings you need to click a physical button on the sensor in order for the app to find it, which could be annoying if you mount it on a ceiling or somewhere not easily accessible. The only issue I have with the sensor, is that you don't get to manually choose what devices you would like to power. It powers everything in the room it's assigned to in the app, meaning you are unable to power items in different "rooms" or just selecting a few items within the room. Easy to workaround by just creating a new room/space in the app and moving the items you want controlled by the motion sensor there, but it wouldn't be as ideal as selecting the devices manually. Maybe that's a personal preference anyways. Overall, the sensor has been as advertised and easily recommendable. ... show more

  • It works fine It works fine
Size: 1 Pack
I'm into my second one but wait there is a story. It works fine. I got mine installed right away, connects to the app, I mean that's how this is installed anyway. My first one lasted 3 years to the day. Battery life-wise. I actually I didn't realize there are batteries in this until I began writing this review. So my first one died because of batteries. I primarily thought that was just the life of the device. But I changed the batteries and now it's blinking blue (meaning ready to be set up). So yey! But I already bought a replacement for this first one and installed it right away. I mean it literally took about 5 minutes to set up because I had to update the firmware but it's working fine. Motion detection is as fine as my other old one. It's pretty accurate in my opinion. Btw, motion detection can be managed in the app. I mean ppl complaining about motion detection should really go to the app and manage it from there. I think the default setting timeout period is 5 minutes (that's how long the lights will be on if there is no continuous motion) but if it reads continuous motion, it will keep going on until there is no such motion. I have been using this for the past three years and that is my experience. It also has never gone disconnected from the app. So yeah, if the lights go off after 5 minutes, that's because there is no more motion and that's the default setting for it. I use this for my kitchen lights. I have strip lights and 2 pendant lights, all Cync devices of course. I mean why would you wanna connect other brands' devices to this? I have now this other old extra one that I might use for my stairwell lighting. ... show more

  • Couldn't get it to with properly
Size: 1 Pack
This was on sale for under $10 so I decided to buy one. Since it was Bluetooth I was hoping Home Assistant would be able to talk to it. But it's not able to see it, and so far only Cync's app can. Via the app, it set up fine, but once I get thru setup it doesn't appear on the device list and I have to go thru settings to get to it. About every other time the device kept going to sleep and I had to wake it up by long pressing the button to get it to blink green. I then wanted to just use this as a motion sensor thru the app and notify me when it see's someone. But then I found out how this device works, it only activates if the lights are off, and only can command other Cync bulbs in a group to turn on. I cannot get it connected to Google home or Alexa either. And lastly, it says it supports Bluetooth and wifi. But there is no way in the app it the device to change it to wifi. In Bluetooth mode why it don't work is because GE uses a custom mesh framework for communication. In the settings there is also no way of telling if it's currently seeing motion, or how much light it see's either, no way to debug the placement. ... show more

  • Works well but not without a few issues.....
Size: 1 Pack
I have had c by ge light bulbs for about a year now and used Alexa and sometimes Google to control them, however I got tired of always shouting commands to turn on the lights especially since I don't have an Alexa in every room. So I thought this would perfect since it is motion detected instead of voice. However my initial setup was a nightmare. I had my bulbs already synced up with Alexa and my bridge and I thought I could just add motion and that would be all, but nope! I had to reset all 15 lights. I found out that by adding these motion sensors it makes my Alexa voice commands and smart bridge useless, like literally the device is incompatible with it. So if you don't mind giving up alexa/Google voice commands and your smart bridge to control your lights then go for it, I just had no idea. The app even tells you during setup that's it's "not compatible at this time" so my lights are no longer showing up in my Alexa app, bummer. But of course you can use the c by ge app to control the lights but not Google or Alexa. Beside those negatives it works as expected I have my upstairs lights turn on automatically if someone walks up the stairs and same downstairs. You can set the brightness according to the time of day and a timer of how long the lights should stay on to save energy. Also a tip set up your lights FIRST, then add your motion sensors or it will not work, so if your previous lights are already synced up with Google or Alexa you will have to reset your lights then add the motion sensors. Also there will be a firmware update out the box, so I recommend you install that right away. I will update review if anything should change in my review. Thank You. ... show more

  • Worth the money! Very easy to setup
Size: 1 Pack
If you have GE Cync lights, this is brilliant! We've installed the first one in the kitchen and never having to hit the switch is AWESOME! It's easy to install; all you have to do is decide where you want it. The magnetic base makes it easy to position for maximum functionality. Getting it connected in the Cync app is easy. Definitely worth the money. Total setup was about 15 minutes, including the time letting the lights cycle off after adjusting the sensor's position. ... show more

  • Works with Some Issues
Size: 1 Pack
I have this motion sensor paired with their smart plug which is easy to do. As for some of the features triggering when the light comes on with some light or bright light doesn't work so well. But you can sched times it will trigger the plug to turn the lights on. Whats is annoying that it turns off and I have to redo all the settings again. ... show more
