This works really great with my Samsung TV as well as with my Sanyo (apparently wiil work many TVs). I stream and have Roku on both TVs, each TV has it's own remote (I have 4 total remotes) . My main TV is a Samsung and the remote easily controls the (1) TV, (2) Roku (to call up different subscriptions like Amazon, Netflicx and YouTube TV) as well as my (3) sound bar. The setup was slow on the first one as all my devises had several codes. once I had the correct codes (in package). I just had to get use to the way to get to what I wanted from the antenna to the Roku to the DVD/Blue Ray. Very happy with this remote I purchased it to replace a remote that I have for a TCL Roku TV in my bedroom. And since the remote is not back lit this works well I can see what I'm doing with the many options available . the back light is plenty bright and simple to program for the TV . worth the money and works :) ... show more

The remote in my bedroom gets lost all the time and I wanted a back up. A colorful one. I got this one and it was a breeze to set up and the first code for.my tv worked. I am just using it for one device. I did hold the remote as far away from the TV as the room allows and had no issues with the signal. One thing to note is it takes two triple A batteries and I rarely use those, so I had to run out and get some. Other than that, set up was so simple and it works great. Super lightweight. It's missing some pretty essential things, like chapter skip on DVD players. I have to fast forward through stuff, which takes some time. Pressed chapter up or down, thinking that'd solve the issue, but nope. A lot of configurations just don't travel over to this remote, for some reason. Every once and a while, I still have to pick up my native remote for some functions. Again, this is fine for bare minimum purposes, like turning stuff on and off, and the volume control, but after that, it gets a bit tricky. Could be better, but not awful either! ... show more

I love love love these! Bought 2 since our dog keeps eating all our Roku remotes. They are super easy to program and the backlighting on the buttons is game changing. We have different colors so we know which tvs they are programmed for but it takes seconds to use them on any tv. Just keep the codes or tape the list of applicable ones for your devices to the remote. I will definitely be getting more when my dog gets to these. ... show more

I was looking for a good remote that had backlighting. What I got was a remote that happened to be pre-programmed to work with my Samsung 4K smart TV right out of the box. I was getting ready to break out the instructions and tried to use the remote on my TV for the off chance that it would work. Well, that was a nice surprise!
