This alarm is the best way to add some security to your home without breaking the bank. I ordered two for my front and back door. It comes with everything you need to install the alarms. The adhesive is strong enough to stay glued on the surface, whether it is the moulding or the door itself. The first few times, i had to readjust the positioning and it was still able to stick securely. The sound of the alarm is loud enough to alert neighbors. It can scare pets, so that should be a consideration when purchasing. I either leave the mode either off or Alarm. The Chime sound is not as loud but can still scare pets. I believe this is a great solution for anyone on a budget, especially those renting. I purchased these for bedroom windows and for those in areas of the house that we can be forget exist, like the laundry room. I know where I placed the alarms but sometimes forget they are 'armed' and scare myself when opening a window. They are loud. The chime is an intermittent chime and the alarm is constant. Both alerts are piercing sounds and startling. Perhaps useful as a deterrent or in addition to a full alarm system. ... show more

These do come with batteries!!! I went out to buy some of these batteries only to unscrew and find out there were batteries in the product haha but regardless it works the alarm is loud and the chime is good!

Thought they would work as safety alarm around our pool, however, they will not satisfy the requirement. Required to meet UL 2017 to meet requirement. Basically a waste of my $, Maybe I can find some use for them.
