This thing feels and works like a heavy duty piece of equipment! I got it all set up and decided to load it up with blueberries I had in my refrigerator, which you can see in the chute in the picture. I wish I had taken a video once I turned it on because I didn't have to add any pressure to the plunger, the unit just ground everything up and made juice that fast. I used the I setting and it worked great. Then, I added an apple that I quartered (not peeled or cored) and ran it on setting II. Those were the recommended settings for those fruits. This time it required a little bit of pressure but really only to get them started. I had a small glass of blueberry/apple juice in very short order. There are a couple of safety features I liked. One is the metal arm that locks into place to keep the top from coming off or being removed inadvertently while the unit is spinning. The other are the rubber suction feet that keep the unit stable. This thing is powerful and both of these help keep it a safe unit to use. It makes juicing easy, but it also makes a mess *inside* the unit. There was no splashing or dripping (the juice spout has an on/off design so you can keep it from dropping). But, I would juice quite a few pieces of fruit or vegetables before quitting as cleanup can take a little bit of time. It took me longer to clean up after one glass of juice than it took me to set up, make the juice, and drink it. The one strange thing that I couldn't find in the manual is that when you turn it on, the ring around the power button flashes blue. I searched for a warning and couldn't find one, and the unit worked and the light went to steady blue when it was operating. Usually flashing lights give me pause, but it seems to be that this is just how the machine operates. Great juicer!!

I have juiced only once before, about 10 years ago when my husband and I were gifted one for our wedding. I remember that we used so much fruit and got nary an ounce of juice out of them. I wanted to try juicing again so as not to spend so much on bottled green juices and smoothies. I bought tons of fruits and veggies to prepare for this machine but it made way more juice than I thought it would. Plus it was so easy to use after I set it up. The chute is large so you can send larger chunks down it, and the pulp goes into a different container. It made juice, and that’s what’s important. More than I expected. My only gripe is that I have to clean it after each use, but this is my gripe with most things. The only thing that could make this juicer better would be if it was self-cleaning. Editing to add: I had to take off a star. I was using this the other day and I didn’t put the top part in exactly along the ridges and it’s stuck and I can’t pull it out. I’m not happy because you can’t use it without that.

UPDATE June 2 2024 I am so disappointed. I was really starting to enjoy this juicer. After using it on the oranges (first use and my initial comments below), I used it for carrots and then an apple / ginger combo. The juice it created was nice and smooth, with just a hint of texture that tells you it's fresh and natural. But as I was taking it apart after the third use, I found little black bits on top of the motor housing. I then found the spot where they came from. As you can see in the picture, one of the four rubber caps had already disintegrated. I can only imagine what will happen over the next several uses. And for this price, I expected it to last more than a few weeks. ______________________________________________ This juicer made quick work of my oranges, creating a nice, smooth (almost aerated) juice with no pulp. It sent the pulp into a separate hopper. Most importantly, it did not gum up / get jammed with pulp during my session juicing a lot of oranges. Many other juicers need period sweeping out of the pulp from the extractor. But this one kept the extractor clean and operating. It has 2 speeds and a pulse feature. For the regular speeds, it does take a few seconds to get up to speed. I don't mind, but it is worth noting. I do wish that all the parts were dishwasher safe. A few of the clear plastic parts are, but other parts are not so there is a fair amount of hand washing no matter what.

This is my first juicer so I don’t really have anything to compare it to. This makes very quick work of apples, pears, and strawberries. It can juice things super fast. The pears and strawberries were basically instantaneous. I will say that I didn’t realize how much cleaning is involved when using a juicer. It’s a great kitchen appliance to have on hand if you are into making your own juice. The price is pretty typical for a juicer. Nothing to complaint about.
