The media could not be loaded. First i would like to mention this arrived to me earlier than the expected time, and during Christmas time at that, about 6 days early! As someone experienced in building this kind of furniture, this was very easy to put together and I was able to do it all on my own. I decided to purchase this primarily because it fit the few requirements I had for a litter hutch and cat tower combination with my limited space, I needed something with front access as well as a front entrance for the cats since I would have furniture either side of the box and i needed a large enough area for my XL stainless steel litter box, these requirements make it surprisingly difficult to find anything suitable. Not only did this meet my requirements, it went above and beyond. Firstly, it's BEAUTIFUL, I love that it has a more modern and clean look being white with grey accents, the matte black hardware is beautiful. The faux fur parts on the tower are super soft and have been easy to clean. I was concerned about other reviews saying the tower was small but, with a 7 year old 10lb cat (grey) and a 3 month old 3lb cat it is plenty big! My 7 year old prefers the higher levels, she practically lives in the top bed and house parts (she even started using them whilst I was still building it haha). My kitten prefers the lower levels, particularly the top of the bottom house. I didn't think either of my cats would get much use out of the toys as they just didn't seem that interesting (the rope and the two teasers), but to my surprise both of them do occasionally play with them! They have also used the large scratch mat but prefer to take naps on it. However, neither have used the circular scratch mat, and I don't really expect them to since it is in an awkward place and is too small for even the kitten to really use, this is the only part I would consider taking off to free up more space on the top level. The whole thing is also very sturdy, there are plastic jams that hold the back board to the litter hutch in place, this is great because on furniture like this I find those flimsy cardboard backings often get pushed out and broken with use, the backing on this one is also much thicker than most! As for the cat tower, even with my 10lb cat jumping up and down from the top shelf I have not seen any wobbling or indications that it isn't sturdy, which is surprising for affordable cat towers as many are generally unstable. The hutch itself also came with little adhesive felt foots to prevent floor scratches, I really appreciate that. All in all, definitely purchase this! It is well worth the money, especially with the space it saves me and how much my cats love it. (i hope you enjoy all the silly pictures of my cats) ... show more

    • Exactly what we needed
We needed a litter box somewhere the dog couldn't get to. This is great - the entry area doesn’t let the dog in easily (he’s a big dog; not sure it would deter smaller dogs) and the scratch board catches litter so it doesn’t go all over the floor, while also being functional for clawing. Easy to open the doors and clean the litter box, and it’s hidden from view. Very functional with the added bonus of being a fun place for the cats to hang out. Our cats love it and so do we. This cat tree/litter box combo is great! The perch is a little small even for our smallest cat (8#) but I just turned it so the back of it is at the front and they can use the corner of the wall to give them the security of being tucked into the perch. But even facing forward they still use it fine. The 2 houses are good size. Although some reviews say they are small, in my experience cats like tighter areas, so I think they are fine and really stillnhave plenty of space. If your cat is 15#+ then maybe they would be small but all my cats love the houses. Very easy to put together and my 3 cats took to it immediately. Having the enclosed litter box below is great to have 2 needs met in 1 spot. It comes with a cat scratcher but to me that doesn't make sense b/c your cat will just shred the thing that is meant to trap the litter from their toe beans. So I bought a litter mat and cut it to size to put in the entrance part (see pic). I also put a mat under the litter box just to help against litter scatter in the box area and/or any pee damaging the enclosure. Also litter box hack - I've been doing this for years - use storage bins for litter boxes! They are so much cheaper than a littler box and more spacious. We had an issue with a hooded litter box and the cat pee would get trapped in the seam of where the hood latches to the box. No longer that issue with using storage bins! Just simply cut a hole for access! Pics attached for that too. We even have an extra large storage bin that is equivalent to 2 litter boxes in another area of the house. ... show more

This tree is almost perfect. My cats love it. The biggest downfall is the size. The litter box area is perfect size. The empty side of the top is great for food and water dishes( if your cats don’t play in the water, mine do so I had to move it back to the floor). The tree part is super small though. I couldn’t use the fabric parts to make the houses or it would have made the tree unusable. My cats aren’t super big either, the black and white cat is only 7 pounds while the gray one is a 18 pound bengal cat. They still fit and use the tree but it just looks so small when they are on it. For the price I was expecting something slightly bigger at least for the tree part. The shipping took about a week and both boxes arrived at the same time. I did find a mistake in the instructions but otherwise they were clear and easy to follow. It is time consuming to build though. Overall it’s a good tree but could be a bit bigger for full size cats, would be perfect for smaller cars and kittens though. ... show more

    • Not great for bigger cats
Instructions were very complete with pictures and parts listings. Parts were labeled. Tools required were included, but recommend a small handy woman electric drill as there are numerous screws. I'm 70+ and easily put this together alone. It is very sturdy. Securely hides the litterbox and keeps it away from my 30 lb PBGV. I just got a 6 month old Maine Coon kitten that is already as big as my 17 year old cat that recently passed. I don't allow my cats on counters or tables, but know they want/need to climb, so we have 3 cat trees/condos for our spoiled kitten. I put a crate pad on the left side of the top of the cabinet. Because of my kitten's size, I didn't attached the very top perch/bed or the felt enclosures. She was comfortable right away with going in to use her litterbox. She really likes the scratching mat on top of the right side of the cabinet. I would highly recommend this cat tree for medium to small cats. ... show more
