For the price, this thing is incredibly sturdy and good quality. It’s pretty heavy and solid and overall I was impressed for the price. Would definitely recommend. Assembly took me about an hour and a half. Instructions weren't too bad to understand. You will need a drill/impact driver for it since some screws you drill directly into the wood. Personal recommendation: Use wood glue for the dowel rod holes. I feel like this makes it stay robust as sometimes the screws with the turn locks can loosen over time. Let me preface that my parents are over 70 years old and live a few hours away. My parents took almost 6 hours to assemble the furniture with my assistance via FaceTime. The assembly instructions show which hardware to use and how many is needed. The instructions are not detailed enough to show someone with poor vision on where to position and fasten each piece. If I were to do it myself, it would have gone a lot smoother. Pieces are typical MDF quality and not solid wood. This was expected. The box is a little heavy delivered. I was able to do it alone but I used a dolly to get it into my apartment. It’s pretty easy to put together, I was able to do it with a movie and a pizza. Easy to put together, all hardware was there and decent quality. There were 4 screws that didn't fit, replaced them with ones that I had already in my hardware bins. The wood on one of the sides was split a little, just added some wood glue, clamped it and I think it will hold up fine. Overall I've bought better for less money but I've also bought worse for more money. Good furniture for the price and it looks good in our home. ... show more

I love my new TV stand, which I don't really use as a TV stand. It's located under the tv, which is mounted on the wall. It sits low so that there is room for framed photos and other nick-nacks without blocking the tv. Ordering online, sight unseen, I was afraid the gray color wouldn't match my dark-gray wood-grained furniture, but it is super close and matches well. The only issue I have is that it's pretty narrow - a little more than I anticipated. I have a satellite receiver box that I put on one of the center shelves. It sticks out too far, so I can't open or close the barn doors. Unfortunately, I will have to relocate it to sit on top. Hubby was challenged with the assembly, but if you are good at following instructions, you should be fine. It will take a while though, so be patient. ... show more

I had seen this item at a local chain store, but thought the price was more than I wished to pay. I found it on Amazon at half the price. It was delivered exactly when it was promised and was well packaged. The parts were clearly identified wth numbers keyed to the illustrated assembly guide. I am 79 but was able to assemble it myself using a Phillips screwdriver & a hammer. I only needed assistance to lift the top into place. ... show more

We love ours! It did take a while to put together (if you only have one person) but it’s worth the time you take. The sliding cabinets are convenient and the overall look is very nice. It is sturdy and the quality is nice.
