  • Awesome tent well worth the price
I've been wanting to get this tent for a while, my previous tents have been the typical pull out all the rods, connect them all, feed through tent loops.....etc. this tent was awesome!! The materials used for the Gazelle are very nice and tough. I didn't have any worries about tearing or punctures. The velcro base is a big plus for when you need a full deep cleaning. Just spray the base out and leave it out in the sun to dry. My first use of the Gazelle was in New Mexico and man am I glad this was the tent we had. We had 40-50mph winds with 80mph gusts and any other traditional tent would have been a nightmare to set up in those conditions. I had it set up in no time. But there was one issue I had with the tent. Actually not with the tent itself, but the tent spikes that came with it. Because of the super strong winds that we had, the tent spikes became twisted metal art that I have no use for now. I had planned to get beefier spikes in the future and didn't think I'd need them for this trip. But oh well, I know that's the story with all tents. The Gazelle is designed for 4 people, but I only have 2 and it was Great! It was very spacious for us and allowed us to keep our bags and some supplies in the tent along with a tent heater. As for 4 people, I feel like that would be a little cramped. It can be done, but there would be no room for other belongings. If I had to nitpick a couple things about the tent, I'd say that I wish the top vents could be closed with zippered flaps that way you can use the tent without the rain fly and still be protected. But that's no big deal. Another thing is sometimes the door zippers can get caught up every once in a while when opening or closing them, but I'd rather have the nice heavy duty zippers that it comes with. I haven't used this tent in a hurricane yet so I don't know how it handles in the rain, but I'm looking forward to trying it out. This tent is definitely worth it and I recommend it to anyone looking for a super fast setup tent. ... show more

  • Thrilled with my Gazelle T4 Tent!
I went camping in my new T4 tent for the first time last week, and am thrilled with it! While it is heavy and bulky to carry (I call that "Bonus Exercise"!), it has the sturdiness and openness of feeling inside the tent that I was hoping for, and ease of popping up and taking down that makes it a "wonder tent"! It felt like I was in my own little yurt! My two nights in it: I staked the tent all the way around the day I arrived, as well the footprint in 2 places (just in case), but decided (wrongly) to not guy out and stake the hubs (the weather forecast had said 8mph winds expected). Late the first night, huge velocity winds hit, popping the hub in where my dog was sleeping (boy, can she move fast!); it also knocked my camping table over with my full container of water... What's a camping trip without a few silly adventure experiences! After the winds died down, I popped it back out, but the wind started up again later and popped the hub back inwards. Again, I popped it back out when the winds died down. In the wee hours of the morning, the wind apparently shifted direction and popped a hub in at my feet. I have learned my lesson and will always guy out, and stake down all in every direction! There was wonderful airflow, even without "gale-force" winds, and I felt I had great privacy and roomy comfort in my tent. It's great to be able to see all the way around in every direction! The zippers are strong and sturdy, and easy to manipulate; the rainfly was a little complex for me to try to figure out how to fold it back up (yes, another heavy wind came up when I was taking my tent down) to tuck it into the bag with the tent to head home. I easily refolded it in my garage when I got back and was able to easily tuck it into the tent carrying bag with the tent. I am a very happy camper and highly recommend the Gazelle T4 tent! It was a perfect size for me, my dog, and all of our stuff. Lol! ... show more

  • Best tent, Hands down!
I've used this tent three times already. once on a camping trip with my wife and my two dogs, plenty of room for a queen size airmattress and their dog beds. the other two times were colder solo camping trips. the tent stayed warm both times due to having my diesel heater piped in. the tent kept out the rain and snow and was completely comfortable with the heater on low. each time it took less than 2 minutes to set up and then another three or four minutes to stake it down. I read some reviews where the walls would collapse in due to the wind it's easily corrected using guy lines for the rain fly and connecting to the ring attached to the side of the tent. I'm thoroughly impressed and wished I would have bought this tent sooner. ... show more

  • THIS IS THE BEST TENT
Went camping several nights at a festival. We recieved endless compliments about how easy it was to set up/take down. I did it myself (40 f) in a few minutes. We also experienced a severe wind/rain storm and our tent did not get disturbed at all (properly staked). It was spectacular. We did have a little moisture inside on the side that took the most rain but honestly for how hard it rained, it was great. This is worth every penny ... show more

  • Love it
Great tent. Love how easy it goes up. Makes getting to camp late such an easy set up. Love the size I'm 6'3 and can stand up in the center. Plenty of room next to a gueen air mattress . Make sure you buy stakes the ones that come with this are a joke.

  • 5 years and still the best tent I ever had
Got this 5 years ago and still no issues. Never a single leak or tear. Easy to clean and inside pockets are big and useful. Bag is long, but the super easy setup makes it all worthwhile. Will probably get another one since family is now bigger and we have guests sometimes.

  • Too quality tent
Well.. I purchased the T3X and liked it so much I thought I’d try the T4GT400GR. The bag it came in is top quality, large enough for the tent to fit back in with little effort and room for a floor saver and ground tarp as well. The bag has a heavy industrial YKK zipper and Velcro straps, a very nice padded shoulder strap is also included if you have to carry the tent some distance. The bag appears to be water resistant. The tent is professionally made with quality workmanship. The floor is bathtub style with Velcro all around even in the corners, no gaps for bugs to crawl in, you can open up a section of the floor and sweep out the tent and Velcro the floor back.. very useful. Two doors with screens and quality zippers here as well, no snags or cumbersome zipping. I’m 65 and the doors take a minute to get used to, step out with one foot first then your head then everything else follows… I’m not as limber as I used to be but I got the hang of it pretty fast. Storage everywhere. 4 mesh nets on the walls two mesh nets up high and a top net too. The T4 has plenty of headroom and the walls are virtually straight so it doesn’t feel crowded. Of course set up is so simple just pull out the four sides and attach the rain fly if you want then push up the top and bingo your done. I replaced the included tent stakes with 12” nail type and replaced the guy cords with heavyweight reflective cord. I set it up in my backyard and turned on the hose and aimed the sprayer up to simulate rain… waited 30 minutes and checked for leaks… well not even one drip inside… I’ve never owned a tent that didn’t at least drip a little. These tents are very high quality, the floor is not cheap and the rain fly is heavy duty… repelled water great. All zippers are YKK and smooth operating. It actually folds up faster than it sets up … and like I said actually fits in the bag with room to spare. The only thing I can complain about is the included tent stakes… they are not heavy duty and won’t like to be hammered lol. I love this tent. ... show more

  • Easy to set up and roomy.
I am in my fifties and 6'1" tall. So I wanted a tent that I could set up easily by myself, that my cot would fit in and that I can stand up in. This tent meets all of those requirements. I love tent camping but crawling and sleeping on the ground is not fun anymore. Too old these days for the shelter half roll. Easily will hold 2 cots and 2 adults. This will be ideal for deer camp. I used the tent for the better part of last week. We had some good winds and some light rain. The tent stayed dry and was stable in the winds. So this is what Positives: 1. It is easy to set up. 4-5 minutes the first time and about 2 minutes after that. I leave the doors open to make it easier to pop the sides. 2. Roomy inside and easy to stand up in. 3. Lots of windows and 2 doors, great ventilation. 4. Plenty of storage along the walls. 5. The roof mounted pouch is great for putting a cell phone in for light or other flash light to light the tent when needed. Negatives: 1. The doors are a little bit of a challenge for an old guy. But not much you can do about it with the hub style design. I would still get it again. The doors are a minor issue, vs. the easy and fast set up. Others: 1. My tent, has velco around the entire perimeter of the floor. So it stayed bug free, seems not all of them were that way. 2. I like the metal stakes vs. typical plastic. 3. What I learned setting it up. The rain fly is a separate piece. After you lay it out and pop out all four sides. Insert the four short poles into the roof poles BEFORE popping the roof up. This is much easier this way. Then hook the sides to the eyes. When taking the tent down first unhook the sides of the rain fly then collapse the roof, and remove the rain fly. Over all I could not be happier with the tent and my purchase. ... show more
