  • I think this is a winner!
Color: Orange
In all fairness, I haven’t actually used this tent yet but I did set it up in the house to inspect it. Once I take it out camping if I find anything else to report I’ll edit this review. But for now... The quality seems top notch! The stitching looks excellent and the fabrics all appear to be very good quality (the walls, floor and screens). The fabric is also well reinforced at all the stress points. I contacted the manufacturer for details on the fabric as I could not find that information on the product page here or on their website, I’m including that information: The shell is constructed of 210D Oxford Polyester, the HH rating is 2000mm and it has a UV coating rated UV50+. Floor is made of 300D Oxford Weave. side not: even though this is a very good quality tent, I will still seal the seams to ensure they do not leak....I’m just old school that way. I have tent camped in all sorts of weather for more than 30 years. I generally camp alone but now have arthritis in my hands making some camping tasks, like setting up a tent, nearly impossible but I’m not ready to throw in the towel. That’s what prompted this purchase; the need for something I can set up on my own with ease and minimal pain. This tent does that beautifully. It literally took old fumble fingers here less than 1 minute to set up and less than 2 minutes to take down. The most challenging part was getting it rolled up tightly enough to fit into the bag but there’s a Velcro strap included that helps with the process. And speaking of the bag, it is the best quality I’ve ever had in a tent bag, made of very durable fabric. It has a nicely padded strap so it can be slung over the shoulder to carry and it has additional smaller grab handles near each end. It’s slightly oversized making it fairy easy to get the tent back in without having to tug at the bag. Also sewn on to the outside of the bag (so they don’t get lost) are two cinch straps so you can really snug things up, I love that. The things that might make it not the right choice for everyone are: It’s a big tent to transport, so if space is at a premium this may not be the best choice for you. When it’s collapsed and in its bag, it’s 5-1/2 feet long, that won’t fit in most trunks or even inside some SUV’s. It fits on my roof rack fine and should not be a problem fitting into the bed of a truck. While not as heavy as a canvas tent, it’s also not lightweight like a technical nylon. It’s fairly heavy at 30 lbs and if you can’t lift that weight and it 5-1/2 ft length to where it needs to go, possibly over your head, this may not be the right choice. The floor dimensions are square, 94”x94” with slightly convex walls. If you need a visual on how much interior space that is, I set up a full size air mattress in the center and pushed the head to the wall, this left 2 feet of open floor space between bed and walls on the remaining 3 sides, more than enough for my gear. I think it would be an ideal space for a two twin mattress setup and if my two large dogs didn’t insist on sleeping with me, that’s what I would do (but they do make for cozy winter tent camping!) The walls are nearly straight up and down making for good head room anywhere you stand (I’m 5’9” and had plenty of head room at the walls). Each of the 4 walls has a sewn-in mesh pocket on the lower part of the wall that would fit a tablet. There are very large sewn-in triangular gear lofts on the upper portion of two of the walls and one removable gear loft in the center of the ceiling. Behind that ceiling gear loft is a piece of paracord that serves as a handle to collapse the ceiling and it held the weight of a fairly good sized light/fan combo I like to use, without any fear of it unintentionally collapsing the ceiling. The things that might make it not the right choice for everyone are: It’s a big tent to transport, so if space is at a premium this may not be the best choice. When it’s collapsed and in its bag, it’s 5-1/2 feet long, that won’t fit in most trunks or even inside some SUV’s. It’s fairly heavy at 30 lbs and if you can’t lift that weight and it 5-1/2 ft length to where it needs to go, possibly over your head, this may not be the right choice. The only other thing I can think of is if you have back problems that make bending over difficult you should be aware that going through the door might be challenging as it’s not one of those big D doors that many cabin style tents have these days. I think this will be the ideal tent for anyone wanting quick set up and tear down, like overlanders, and for folks, like myself, who have limited hand dexterity. I’ve had cheap tents, instant tents and expensive 4-season tents, all have had pros and cons. But I suspect this Gazelle T4 will soon become my favorite because it’s helping me to keep getting out there! So, for getting me out there, innovation, quality and attention to detail I’m giving this tent 5 stars. ... show more

  • Best Tent Ever Made
Color: Orange
We normally use our travel trailer for camping. But our trailer was in for repair, so decided to buy a tent so we could continue to enjoy camping. Looking through the tents available, I found the Gazelle tent intriguing with its claim to set up in 90 seconds, and decided to buy it. The Gazelle tent is extremely well made and can actually be set up in 90 seconds. Even though we have a travel trailer, we continue to use our Gazelle tent on short weekend camping trips. The Gazelle tent is actually less work to set up than our travel trailer. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • Head room!
Color: Alpine Green
Finally the perfect tent for me. Plenty of head room and not just in the very center. Set up including stakes and rain fly in 5 min. Set up without staking took less than 2min. Fits a cot and a 5’ folding table. Used a Mr Heater on low that kept it at 62 even with the mesh top, outside temp was 19f. The Velcro floor is a great feature sweep dirt right out without having to mess with a tent threshold. I would say that for all weather camping and having a place to keep dry goods dry. This is a perfect tent for 2 people and gear, 3 would be crowded, I don’t see 4 people with gear in this tent. 4 with no gear would be the limit. Materials are heavier than most tents I have used. Zippers feel a lot sturdier, time will tell. Will update after a few more outings. So far, Very happy with this tent. ... show more

  • Good tent with major drawbacks
Color: Orange
The bad stuff first - 1. Mine leaked terribly from hubs, rain fly/roof and window zippers. After the first rain shower I had no gear but storage containers and cot legs touching the floor. It was bad. From one hub water was running down the inside wall. Check yours as soon as it arrives! 2. Despite multiple windows this tent does not ventilate well. If in the sun it will remain very hot inside. I applaud the effort to block insects from getting inside but the material used is very dense. A minor resolution is to open the tops of both doors just a bit. 3. The storage pockets on each wall is a nice touch, unless it rains. Water seeped in through walls and got everything in these areas wet. My wallet, car keys, tablet, headlamp and other items, all soaked. 4. This is just "not so great" but I was kind of taken back by multiple random threads hanging from stitches. It looked sloppy. Be aware - 1. If it's raining and you decide to enter or exit the tent, it will rain inside. the rain fly does not adequately cover doors. 2. While removing the rainfly for takedown be aware that the small corner poles can catch on the tent roof hub. Tuck them in or trail them before pulling it off. 3. The door shape and size are a real pain, but design prevents anything better so adjustment to it is necessary. 4. Unless camping in sand throw the stakes out, they're the worst and quite honestly a cost-cutter for manufacturer that makes no sense, and I seriously wonder why companies attempting to advertise best-in-class gear would compromise integrity like this. 5. Seam sealing looks to be a major project because there is very little clearance between hub poles and tent fabric on the inside of the tent. I now know that sealant is a must but not sure how this is going to work out. The good - 1. Setup and tear down are great. It takes more time to get out of the bag than set up. I loved this part and impressed people camping near me. 2. Space is good at 8' square and headroom if under 6' is comfortable. I'd love to have the T4 Hub Plus but it doesn't fit my needs. 3. The floor design and thickness are impressive. I still used a ground cloth on flat grass, and will use pads under cot legs and a rug. I doubt my patience in re-attaching the removable feature so that will probably never happen, but opening just one portion to sweep water out (in my case) worked well. I am a photographer and normally attend 3-7 day events in my camper. A sudden visit to the RV shop and upcoming events quickly forced me back to tent camping and purchase of new gear. After a week of comparisons and reviews I decided to plunge in on the Gazelle T4. My first experience was not good. There wasn't much that didn't get wet during a 45 minute thunderstorm, and a night of several hours rain did not do my blood pressure well at all. That said, I'm giving it another chance because it fits my needs well, and hope that this one slipped past quality control. I'm never lingering inside my tent during the day, only entering and exiting to change out of sweaty shirts, so lack of circulation while irritating isn't a show-stopper. I now know not to put anything against walls or storage pockets and will just have to be faster in getting in and out of doorways in the rain. The Gazelle T4 has some good things going for it and I want it to work for me. The replacement will go through an initial check and if it's bad I'll move on, if not I will seal all seams myself and work around the remaining flaws. ... show more

  • This was a great find!
Color: Alpine Green
This is a great tent! I love how easy and fast it is to set up. One person can easily do it in just a couple minutes. It did collapse one side in some pretty strong winds, but it could easily be pushed back out from the inside. I would buy it again!
