UPDATE 11-4-22: I found the right case for my fold z 3 that works wonderfully with this AWESOME car mount...the SPIGEN THIN FIT P. It's pricey but so worth it! It charges wireless lying and I don't have to mess with squeezing any arms together. The holder closes on its own. At the push of a little button, it releases my phone. This product would be PERFECT if the height of the ledge could be adjusted to accommodate the S Pen on the Samsung Z Fold 3 case. My phone case holds the Pen on the spine. When I place the case on the phone holder, it does not sit on the lip that tells the holder to close. It sits just above it. Therefore the grip is not activated to close. Otherwise I would so love to keep this holder. It seems well made and responsive. But for me to keep it I would only be able to use my phone in the closed position. Then there's no point in getting a wide phone holder.

It took a little tinkering but I think I figured it out. The negative reviews I read before buying the product mentioned trouble getting the wireless charging to work. I think there are two reasons for this one, the USB they send is really cheap and I swapped it out for a USB cord I had lying around. Number two reason, I have the Spigen Slim armor Pro which has a hinge protector for the Z fold. The hinge protector doesn't allow the phone to sit flat on the wireless charging pad. About 30% of the time it won't charge. Truthfully the battery life is good enough I don't mind most of the time when I want to have the larger screen visible the power and volume buttons are not accessible but all you have to do is double tap the screen to turn on the display if it is off and use the car volume for adjustments. When I do need it to charge I turn the charger 90° clockwise and use the front screen so the phone can sit flat this also allows you to access the buttons. Since most of the time I don't even need the screen at all this is how my phone sits most of the time. I think for the money this was a awesome buy, just know you may need to switch out the USB cord and/or by a case for your Z fold that doesn't have a bump at the back. Seriously though most of the time the charger is awesome and I like the way it automatically grips your phone. As long as you don't buy a buggy one it seems like 50 bucks well spent.

I received this as a gift a couple years ago. Used the vent mount until recently. I had tried other dash suction cups but they never worked because my dash has ripples in the design. A couple weeks ago I decided to give it a try anyway and it stuck, and stuck well. Really surprised. The only thing about this that I wish was better is the charging. When I switched over to the suction cup, I also replaced my USB2 adapter with a new 3.0 PD one thinking the charge would finally be more than how much using it discharged it. Nope. It does seem to maintain the current charge (doesn't discharge) but the charge doesn't increase either.

I own a Samsung Fold 4. Like: 1. It mist of what it advertises, including fast charging. I know others reported it doesn't fast charge, but I tested and it does. Unless my phone is lying for about 5 minute of watching it saying it is fast charging. 2. Holds my phone more secure than the Samsung car mount version that just came out. Dislike: 1. I have to remove my S-pen for it to charge. I have a Samsung case with the S-Pen on the rear. The Samsung charger allowed me to charge without the S-Pen not removed. 2. Covers the buttons if try to charge the phone unfolded. In the end I am looking at other options because it can't charge my phone unfolded without covering the buttons. This is still better than the Samsung model because it held my phone securely and does what it advertises. I gave it 3 stars because it works but not great for a Fold 4.

After 1 Year of use I thought I'd review this product. Pretty decent device but always frustrated with the vent holder. The zfold3 is a heavy device and the vent holder needed adjustment everytime I entered my truck. Never had issues with the mechanical movement, always worked as intended. After 1 Year the wireless charger has lost its juice and no longer works.
