    • Best mount for Fold 2, by far. A few minor quirks.
I've tried many phone mounts, none worked in all areas this well. Most importantly is secure grip, which this thing has! The fold is going nowhere while driving, like Earnhardt or Miss Daisy, it stays put. It may be moot but I love the look. The fact that the G illuminates when on is a nice touch. I can't speak to the suction ability as I through it on a panavise indash mount but it locks in place quite well with the locking ring. My biggest gripe is manufacturing, shaking/rattling specifically. Touching outside of the sweet spot in the middle cause the phone to shake, it's annoying. I employed dynamat at the mount, the ball and the base to no avail, it still shakes, though no longer as violently. The noises have also been reduced by tightening the screws. NOTE: if shaking noises bother you, affix black tape to the release button, as it makes the most noise by far! Only other concern is longevity. A few times it did not retract when asked and I just worry how long the motor will last. I'm unsure the warranty on it but if it does fail I will persue another, hopefully at reduced cost, because this thing is the best mount not only for the fold but any phablet I've used before.     • Solutions to the problems.
The build quality is fantastic. The qi charge (wireless charger) worked great with my GFold 2. I was skeptical after reading the reviews, and YES everything they say about the button mashing is completely true. However, I have a solution that will help you...actually multiple solutions. To combat the button pressing, there is a free app on the android store called Volume Lock. It is free, and stops the volume from changing PERIOD. I have personally tested the app, and it solves ALL rocker issues. To combat the portrait mode issue, believe it or not, the grips are actually strong enough to hold the GFold 2 by twisting it to the side. You still get the full 15w fast wireless charge, and the portrait mode you want. Finally, to combat the unexpected release, and the wireless charging failing. BE PATIENT, place the device in the carrier slowly, and make absolutely sure the phone is set on the base arm completely flat. Hold it there until the charge starts, and continue to hold it until the arms seal. This takes a few seconds of your time and for me, it never failed once. I hope these tips help, because this is truly a premium built product, that takes a licking, and keeps on ticking. It has been put through the gauntlet with my job, and has not failed me in any way.     • Super high tech for the money
It took a little tinkering but I think I figured it out. The negative reviews I read before buying the product mentioned trouble getting the wireless charging to work. I think there are two reasons for this one, the USB they send is really cheap and I swapped it out for a USB cord I had lying around. Number two reason, I have the Spigen Slim armor Pro which has a hinge protector for the Z fold. The hinge protector doesn't allow the phone to sit flat on the wireless charging pad. About 30% of the time it won't charge. Truthfully the battery life is good enough I don't mind most of the time when I want to have the larger screen visible the power and volume buttons are not accessible but all you have to do is double tap the screen to turn on the display if it is off and use the car volume for adjustments. When I do need it to charge I turn the charger 90° clockwise and use the front screen so the phone can sit flat this also allows you to access the buttons. Since most of the time I don't even need the screen at all this is how my phone sits most of the time. I think for the money this was a awesome buy, just know you may need to switch out the USB cord and/or by a case for your Z fold that doesn't have a bump at the back. Seriously though most of the time the charger is awesome and I like the way it automatically grips your phone. As long as you don't buy a buggy one it seems like 50 bucks well spent. ... show more

This device works great in landscape mode with the S Pen cover removed but the fingerprint reader is out of reach because it is in the bottom of the holder. In portrait mode the holder is too big for the Z Fold 3 and is not secured. I have improvised and I turn the whole holder 90 degrees to the left in order to view it in portrait mode. So far everything is working as expected. I haven't been able to use the suction cup mount but the vent clip works great for my BMW. ... show more
