I chose the Gator quad fold to gain more access to the bed if necessary. My application is on a 2019 Dodge Ram Laramie with factory drop in liner and tailgate liner. Crew cab with 5’7” bed. Initial install went well and is very doable if your handy. Afterward I noticed that I could barely get 1 of the 3 rear seals to touch the factory trim at the top of the tailgate. Not enough to keep out the elements. Couldn’t figure out why which led to many adjustments and head scratching. Finally figured it out. The MOPAR factory drop in liner has a fairly thick tailgate cover. It’s particularly thick at the top. The most rearward catches on the cover are very close to the triple rear seal. As a result the cover couldn’t be moved back far enough to properly seal onto the top factory trim of the tailgate. The brackets for the rear latch hit the plastic top edge of the Inside tailgate cover. I guess I could remove the tailgate liner, but chose not to do so. I spent a great deal of time grinding down 6 inches of plastic material on each side of the tailgate liner to give the rear latch brackets room to come toward the rear. Still can only get 2 of the 3 ribs of seal onto factory trip piece at top of tailgate. Ran thru a car wash and still a lot of water got in. This is my wife’s truck. She is an equestrian and stores a lot of stuff that shouldn’t get wet. It appears I will have to remove the factory inner tailgate liner and find something thinner. However the further back you move the cover, the less overlap you have on the forward seal near the cab. The folded down cover could stand to be 1/2 to 1 inch longer to not sacrifice forward seal for rear seal. I am now finding it stays pretty dry in driving rain but leaks quite a bit in a touch less car wash than the one on my old pickup. It looks good and seems durable. Overall though I am disappointed with its weather proofness and that it doesn’t fit/seal well at the tailgate if you have a factory drop in liner. Wish I could have gotten some vendor support, but couldn’t get any help. I will remove the factory tailgate liner, readjust everything and see if it seals properly at the rear. If it does I will modify my review and give another star. In the meantime buyer beware if you are using this cover with a factory MOPAR drop in liner. ... show more

Amazing product works and fits excellent on the 2019 ram 1500, I got the tri fold and was disappointed to learn it only folds twice not 3 times up to the window so you loose a lot of bed space. I was unaware of this I thought all of them folded up to the window to give full bed access ( guess you have to buy the more expensive 4 fold) anyway other then that it great and fits awesome. Make sure to get the rails as even with your bed as posible to make sure there’s not a huge gap for rain to enter at the tailgate or if it’s too snug to the gate then it sticks when you auto open with remote ... show more

Product fits good and looks good. The only reason for a 4 star is because of the locking points on the track are made of plastic. If they were metal I would have gave a 5 star. Concerned they may dry out and crack.

This is my second Gator cover.... This time around I decided to go with the gator recoil mainly because of it is aluminum. Overall I'm please with the cover .... BUT... it took 3 times to receive one that wasn't damaged. You may think that being it is a large heavy box that it would be easy to damage during shipment but that wasn't the case. The shipping company did an excellent job and there was no damage to any of the three boxes. On shipment one the end caps were cracked and the rail had a few deep scratches... On shipment 2 it appeared to be an open box and the weather stripping on the main can was cut and the unit was scratched up... So by shipment 3 I was pretty frustrated. It did have a few minor scratches but overall was fine. I love the low profile of the cover on my 2021 Ram 1500 Longhorn and it is very easy to install with 2 people, just follow the instructions they are pretty good. The cover is very stable. Anyone that have messed with these retractable covers knows that the are not 100% waterproof. You will need a tailgate seal kit and I recommend added a 1/4 thick by 1/2 wide weather strip on each inside of the rail right beside the factory strip. If you do that and follow the instructions you should only get a very small amount of water at the tailgate which seems to be normal. Amazon did an excellent job in getting me the replacement covers and sending UPS to pickup the damage units. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! With all that being said I would rate this cover 8/10 minus the problems I had with the first two shipments. Hope this helps someone good luck! ... show more

This thing is not wide enough and does not fit my 2022 ram 3500. It's the correct length, but it is not the correct width. It was 3" short from fitting side to side. My truck bed measures 61" side to side inside the bed. Verify your size before ordering.
