abunda_amazon_reviews I purchased this case rather blindly and based only on the Amazon customer reviews, as I did not have the time or patience to seek out professional reviews. My guitar is worth probably $700.00, which is pretty substantial for me. So it was a big gamble to purchase a case that might be handled by airline baggage gorillas. I had hoped to take it into the cabin, but I was informed at the airport that it had to go underneath. So goodbye beautiful guitar... Well, I have now flown with this case on four flights and the case is amazing. No damage whatsoever to my instrument. The case, however, has clearly been through hell as it is now severely scraped and gouged in ways that I haven’t a clue as to what those guys do down there to cause so much damage. But it is a tough case and it hasn’t given in. The best thing about the case is the TSA lock. I’ll tell you right now that all four round trip flights (eight legs) have resulted in a TSA notice placed inside the case. I hate that every time I fly, somebody is opening and looking at my guitar (and maybe even taking it out of the cradle, heaven forbid). But they do it every time. I’m just glad that it gets locked up again. Just be aware that guitar cases apparently attract scrutiny. In any case (pardon the pun), I recommend this product. It does the job that it is supposed to do and it does it well.;;Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2018;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;A solid, well designed case;;Joe Egg;;;The case has almost no padding. The case where the body of the bass rest is like laying on the floor, nothing between it just the plastic of the case and some minimal flocking. I got the bass case with the light and was disappointed in how the bass fits in it. It fits length and width, but the case does not allow the bass to sit flat. Meaning, when the bass is sitting in the case, the neck is elevated about the neck rest area about 1 to 1 1/2 inches so it teeters in there. I tried several other of my basses just to be sure it just wasn't the bass itself, but it's sloppy on all of them. The video is rotated, but you can see how it rocks in there. The light is very cheap and the switch has to be fiddled with for it to make contact. Not the best purchase I've made recently, but it'll do for now. I travel often and needed a way to bring my guitar with me so I can keep on practicing. After reading several reviews online I decided on this case. In less than 24 hours my case looks like I just returned from a world tour, but my guitar and everything I put in the case was intact. In a few days I'm set to take an even longer trip with a few plane changes so I'll see how it holds up then. I believe this could be my standard guitar case for anything local as well. It was a snug fit for my guitar but I keep a suction cup knee stand on it so it would have had a little more room without. Both guitars fit as if this case was custom made for them. It holds them very securely. It is lightweight for a case of this type and very durable. I don't know if you would consider it appropriate for air travel because I have had no experience with it. I have read other reviews that say it flew just fine. The interior is soft but sturdy. The accessory compartment is larger than normal so you can fit a lot of accessories. I have a Thalia capo, Snark Supertight tuner, extra strings, pencils, fingernail files and sandpaper in it and there's room for more. The carry handle is extremely comfortable and the latches are excellent. It has a TSA lock incorporated into the center latch. I just can't say enough positive about this case. I like it so much I'm thinking of getting another one for the Velazquez even though its original case is still in fine shape. Get one. I have 2 concert sized classical guitars. One is a 1959 Manuel Velazquez and the other a 1976 Robert S. Ruck. I originally purchased this case to replace a standard hard shell case that came with the Ruck. Get one. You won't be disappointed.
