  • Doesn't fit all dreadnought guitars but it fit my big lou guitar like a glove
Style: Dreadnought Pattern Name: Flight Case
Seems well made. The lining is plush and does not appear to scratch the guitar.

  • Not gonna beat anything in this price range
Style: Dreadnought Pattern Name: Flight Case
I'm very satisfied with this case. Mine is a standard dreadnought. It's VERY tight and I was a little apprehensive about that at first but the padding is going to soften up just a tiny bit over time, so I expect it will be nice and snug for years to come. The pocket is fine, pretty stand room-wise. The latch on the bottom takes a little more effort to clamp shut, makes me a little nervous, but again over time this should prove to be perfect. I'm very happy with the overall fit and finish, everything aligns perfectly. I do wish the strap would stay out of the way better when closing, but that is my only complaint. I do actually feel confident enough to fly with this a few times if necessary, but not often. (It's not a Crossrock, but it's going to be the next closest thing without spending over $500.) I would dare say it is near-waterproof and that is really saying something. Will it float? Should it be submerged? No probably not. I ended up getting all my gear packed up at a gig before it all got drenched. No worries with the guitar, it stayed dry as a bone. I definitely would recommend this and may purchase another one for another guitar. ... show more

  • Well made, great protection.
Style: Dreadnought Pattern Name: Flight Case
Dreadnought size guitar fits snugly, no moving around in the case. Very sturdy and not much heavier than a standard Martin hardshell case, but much sturdier. Bumpers protect the lower bout and extended neck rest helps to keep the neck well-protected. TSA locks nice for airplane travel, but also an excellent case for any type of travel, even back and forth to gigs. Fit my Martin D-35 and my friend's Taylor Dreadnought nicely. ... show more

  • Excellent for flying!
Style: Dreadnought Pattern Name: Flight Case
This is a great guitar case! I bought this for my son, who flies internationally at times and needed a guitar case to protect his Taylor guitar. Very happy with this case, and it also has the TSA locks built in. Totally worth the money.

  • Needs some work
Style: Dreadnought Pattern Name: Flight Case
4 Stars. Im stretching for this one. With a company called Gator, your expecting a tough, hard to beat anywhere product. There is a certain level you have to live up to. Lets dive into the pro's and cons. Pro's: 1) This seems to be well built. Maybe not pelican case, drop from a plane, but it certainly looks tough. Ill update after my flight. 2) Compact. It fits my Taylor like a glove, with no addded space, and is not oversized at all. Makes for easier travel. 3) TSA approved lock, with very little security. Fits right in with regulation substandard security that is the American way. We love it, that way the case and guitar doesnt get destroyed by a disgruntled TSA agent that wasnt paid. Con's: 1) Remember the expectations that I talked about for a company with the name Gator? Well this baby better have alligator skin, or be colored Orange and Blue. It is not!!! Not only is it not orange and blue, but its black and red. This leads me to believe that it may not live up to the expectations of a Gator. Summary: I will update as time passes, but for now, this case did not meet my initial expectations. I reaching and giving them the benefit of doubt, hoping it protects my guitar and the red fades to orange. ... show more

  • Fantastic, Sturdy, Well-Padded Case
Style: Dreadnought Pattern Name: Flight Case
This case is fantastic - very well-made, sturdy padding, and strong. I bought it for my son who was traveling overseas. Ultimately we didn't need it so I returned it, but if we do need this again, I'm buying this exact model. Great value (I'm sure there are cheaper, but why risk shoddy construction?) Terrible story around this, though - my son left his guitar in the case after he test fit it. Unknowingly, my partner packed it up for return and left the guitar in the case. So far Amazon has been incredibly helpful in trying to track it down, so we're crossing our fingers that we will get it back eventually. • Just what I needed to travel with a valuable instrument!
Style: Dreadnought Pattern Name: Flight Case
The case is very high quality and sturdy, latches close securely, and the guitar fits tightly into the padded, velvet lined interior. The internal storage space is large and easily fit extra strings, picks, string winder, tuner and capo. I could have fit my wire cutters in too, but didn't because I wanted to use carry-on as much as possible. The case easily fit into an overhead baggage compartment, with room left for a couple backpacks or a small bag. No one seemed to mind. But if I had needed to gate check it, I would have felt comfortable that the case would protect the guitar from the handling. But not from the separation anxiety! haha The case is a little heavy, because it's sturdy, so be prepared when lugging it through the airport. But the handle is comfortable, the case is well balanced for carrying, and it has feet and is well balanced to stand on it's own, either on its side or upright. I'm very happy with the purchase. ... show more
