  • Great fit for many of my guitars
Size: Electric Style: Led
This is great case that actually fits a larger variety of my guitars than I expected. Here is a list of what fits from my personal collection: LyxPro 39" Electric Guitar TL Series Monoprice Indio Series 6 String Basswood Electric Guitar Ambidextrous Bonde (610261) GEAR IT GST-100 Mission Series 39 inch Full-Size Donner 39 inch Jazz Electric Guitar TL Thinline Starburst (DJC-100S) Donner Electric Guitar 39 inch DTC-100 Black Solid Body TC Ibanez GRG 7 String Solid-Body Right Metallic Light Blue, Full (GRG7221MMLB) Donner DST-152R Electric Guitar 39" Donner DST-200 Electric Guitar 39" All fit pretty nicely. The Thinline and the Ibanez Gio were a long as you could fit and a little snug at the top and bottom edge, but safely fit. Some you kind of wiggle to get the strap buttons to fit. The cushioning accomodates them and will conform over time. The case takes 4 AAA batteries and a smaller phillips to install. This is better lighter case than most. It isn't TSA lock equipped. So I would not recommend taking it on a commercial airplane. General Aviation should be fine. Bus or school bus. I would recommend it for daily use and abuse. Do not submerge it in water, but it should be rain resistant. Not something for a world tour. Get ATA Flight Case instead for that. Great for a weekend warrior wedding gig, school band, taking to school to practice after school. If you drop it it will probably crack the outter shell on concrete or asphalt. But it should keep you guitar safe. This isn't military grade, but it is a lot better than a gig bag. If you want military grade case, get a Pelican case. This is lighter and better made than a cheap $99 dollar case. The hardware seems adequate and not flimsy. It reminds me of the typical cases that they had for band instruments when I was a kid in the 70s and 80s. If you have passed the 12 month mark and still play your guitar daily, this would be a good fit for a guitar worth less than $1000. This costs about the same or less than most of my guitars. But it will work for the majority of them. I only take then out of the house one or two at a time so I don't need one for each. Just one for each style. This arrived wrapped in a manufacturer plastic bag, packaged inside a larger Amazon box with packing paper. My only complaint if the label on the case for name, address, telephone number was slightly askew and not centered in the indentation where it belongs. Thakfully, I'm not Mr. Monk. ... show more

  • A Case Worth Having More Than One Of!
Size: Electric Style: Standard
I purchased two of the Gator GC-ELECTRIC-A cases because I needed storage for my two Tradition Jerry Reed signature model “T” style guitars. I chose this particular case for the looks, style and price. I have owned a couple of these cases in the past and they did prove to be worthy. The quality is what I have come to expect from Gator although I was not impressed with the factory packaging. The fit is as advertised and the seller’s performance was excellent. Both of the Tradition guitars I put in these cases fit perfectly. Both guitars are 39 inches long from the lower end of the body to the top end of the headstock. Both ends do touch but the guitars lay in very easily without being forced. Going on the pretense that nobody cares how many guitars I have just allow me to say for the benefit of others that all my Stratocasters are also 39 inches long and fit very nicely. My Telecasters are all 38-1/2 inches long and easily fit of course. As far as width goes all guitars mentioned fit like they should and do not rattle around. Just per chance someone may want to know this case fits my PRS SE Custom 24 and my Rickenbacker 620 like a glove. I found no misaligned hinges or latches. I found no fumes from adhesive and no faults in the plush lining which is adequately padded for a case in this price range. Is there a down side? Depends on how you look at it as this is a very lightweight case and some may equate that to being flimsy but it is not. Both of these cases weighed in at 8-1/2 pounds and appear to be quite sturdy. You may find a case that is twice as durable but you may also pay twice the price. I would be doubtful these cases would stand up to rigorous touring and being tossed around by roadies but for simple storage and protection in the studio or a short trip to a jam session they are fantastic. For the price you pay you get a very nice place to store your guitar! ... show more

  • Well Done
Size: Electric Style: Standard
I recieved this item on time and in great shape. The Outer shell is very sturdy and can obviously take a beating. The lid, when open, is supported by a ballistic nylon strap, and additional nylon straps on top of the hinges so that the weight of the lid doesn't put pressure on the hinges. The are two accessory comparments in the case that will hold pretty much any small thing you need to take to a gig like picks, strings, straps, rags and cables. The inner compartment is made of styrofoam padding lined with a beautiful plush surface that will not scratch or buff your guitar. The guitar is very well enclosed and will not move around the slightest bit. I ordered this case for a Micheal Kelly Hourglass, which has a bit if a big bottom end (baby got back), so it was about an inch too small to fit naturally. However, I just used some pliers to crush and shape the foam around the edges where it was too small and viola! The guitar now fits wonderfully. In fact, it seems MORE snugly fit and well immobilized. If you have a Les Paul or any other big bottomed guitar, this case is still useable if you dont mind a little 3-second self modification. Overall, the case was a steal at this price and I recommend it to anyone. ... show more
