A lifetime guarantee on new idler arms and tensioner and a high quality heavy duty new belt (Gates makes the belts for GM, so they know the Duramax engine). It appears that this new belt, which is green, is heavier duty than the last belt on this engine (which I don't know if it was an OEM belt or not). One tip: The tensioner has a small 1/2" square hole in it that allows you to insert a 1/2" ratchet wrench in order to compress the tensioner in enough to remove and/or install the new belt. I did not realize this when removing the old belt and used a long bar to try to leverage the tensioner to relieve the pressure on the belt. When installing it I saw the hole and went DOH! Would be nice to include basic instructions, even if only for how to use that hole (although a diagram of how the belt serpentines through the various pulleys/attachments would be handy....luckily I drew the belt path before removing the old belt). ... show more

    • belt lenghth is slightly longer than specs
idlers and tensioner all great matches the belt is slightly longer than the original belt and it is the belt called for. the notch on tensioner is slightly out of the two guidline notches.

one of the idler pulleys was in worst shape than the one i was changing. I had to go to my local auto parts store and buy another one. very disappointed in gates quality control, i do not recommend this product.
