    • Slips after couple of months
2002 Honda CRV, mechanic replaced my belt during inspection, it lasted a year. Put on a Gates, after a couple of months it started chirping. How do I know it was the belt? I poured some water on the belt while running and the noise went away. I'm going to the dealer and going to pay $77 cuz I'm sick of after market junk. Perfect fit for 2004 Honda CRV. Farily easy install. Needed to borrow a long armed pulley tool from the local auto parts store. Just note how the old belt winds around each pulley. Eliminated the noise of the old belt which had 119,000 miles on it and was showing lateral and parallel cracking along the entire belt. ... show more

    • Nice Replacement Serpentine Belt
Installed this belt on my mother's 2004 CR-V 2-wheel Drive, 4 cylinder. Belt appears to be well made and an exact fit for the car. Installation took about 1 - 2 hours however due to clearance issues. You will need a long handle 14mm box wrench to release the belt tensioner, which cannot be reached with a socket wrench. Once correctly installed and routed, seems to work very well. A bit more difficult installation than other serpentine belts I have installed (Nissan and Navigator trucks). YouTube videos make it look fairly easy but best to have a second pair of hands for the installation. ... show more

Excellent product. I changed it myself and it was honestly not easy. I learned to do it with home videos, but it seems easy but it is not. I should have sought help from my wife to force the lever. My recommendation is to pay to do it if they don't have the tool. The new part does not make noises or squeaks as generics usually do. ... show more
