I don't want to give the hose a bad review. I'm sure it's a good hose. It did not fit my 92 pickup 22re. After buying and returning hoses I have the list. upper hose 22re to radiator=Dayco 71262 (may have to cut a little)/ coolant tube to lower radiator=Gates 21171 (cut to fit)/ water pump to coolant tube=Gates 20801 (cut to fit to 90 deg elbow, water pump connection is slightly larger than coolant tube and this hose has one end slightly larger) ... show more

    • I still trust gates brand
It's a gates hose and cheaper here than the house brand from the chain parts stores. I think everyone is aware prices are going up and quality is going down, but I still trust gates until I see an obvious change in quality.

    • Sorta Fits 1985 Toyota Pickup 4x4 22RE
Update 2021-6: this is definitely the wrong hose for the 22RE. I think this one is for the 22R, but not sure. I think what you need is a 71262 Dayco. It looks like the LCengineering sells the oem hose, but it looks the same as the Dayco. My thermostat and radiator are parallel, but the ends of this hose are not. It kinda fits but ends up getting crushed a little. I'm not to worried because the system is pressurized so it should expand, but it's not really right. Quality seems fine. Length was ok. I do wonder if this is why I'm running hot... I'll update if that's the case. ... show more

At first I thought this was not the correct upper coolant hose for my 1986, but it is a PERFECT fit. Just make sure it turned in exactly the right position. It may take a few tries, but it will and does fit.

Doesn't work for 1987 22R sr5 I had all my radiator hose out. This hose didn't match and fit anything. It's not the right hose for the truck. When I done research on this hose, I pretty sure it's for 22RE. 3 start cause of amazon's fit issue. Otherwise, it's good hose. made in usa.
