The item arrived well-packaged and in good condition. I've installed it and it is working well. Had my first shower with it today, and it turned on and supplied hot water almost instantly. It displays the water temperature, and the temperature is adjustable (I adjusted the temperature by turning down the "gas" control. The other controls are an "eco" setting (which I think turns off half of the burner) and a "water" control, which I'm not sure what it does, but I just left it on max. I hooked mine up to a 40lb propane tank and the cold water intake to a hose bib. I did need to go down to the hardware store and buy a 1/2" NPI thread to hose bib adapter. While I was there I also got a new cold water intake hose and a new shower hose for the output since the included ones were a bit cheesy and a bit too short (also remember to get a couple of D batteries while you are there - I didn't and had to make a second trip). I'm using it as an outdoor shower now, but eventually, I might plumb it into my cabin's existing plumbing to replace the on-demand water heater that was stolen. This one is much cheaper than the one that was stolen, works well, and I won't worry as much about it being ripped off again. ... show more

With more experience and thought I might have done this better, but this water heater came through in an emergency for me. Our water heater went out and, knowing it would take weeks to replace it (holidays and a cold snap), I ordered this "camping" tankless water heater. I installed it outside (of course!) a bathroom window with a gas tank situated within reach. I led the shower head in through the window. Initially, I fed the water into it through an outdoor hose (Note: the connections are 1/2 inch, so I had to buy a 3/4" to 1/2" converter), but soon had to rig it to be fed from the tub faucet due to the cold. With temperatures in the single digits, it heated pretty well and got us through. You control the temperature by adjusting the max/min flow control, which means that we had to keep the flow fairly low to keep the temperature up in the extreme cold. Also, I had to disconnect the gas and store the unit indoors when not in use, because water in the lines froze quickly. Just to add, this is a seriously powerful thing, so know what you are doing and do it carefully! Remember you are dealing with propane. And never run it indoors to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. ... show more

Just received it and will update review later... Immediate observation of pulling out of the box and putting it together is that of... -the plastic the unit was wrapped in had some moisture in it which I assume had something to do with a release valve discussed in the directions. -the instructions are written in very poor English, but was good common sense anyone can figure it out. -hubby made note to me then when you pull off the blue protective caps on the ends of the metal hoses, to take note and make sure the clear plastic washer(s) inside does not fall out and get lost. -everything is definitely heftier than I had expected and also in comparison with another unit that a friend had purchased. -two parts bag is big enough it holds all the little extra tidbits & add ons until I'm ready to put it all together.     • No water flow. No support options
The water is not passing through the unit. I have no idea why. There is no support email or phone number to contact. I followed the instructions. Hooked a hose up to the intake. Turned on the water then nothing but a few drops come out of the water outlet. Batteries are in. Gas is hooked up. Not sure why the water isn't passing through the unit. ... show more

I really like this unit being as I live in Hawai’i we will see how long it lasts here with the salt air. But then nothing lasts to long here. It works very well. The only thing I would love to see would be a water on and off switch on the handle. But aside from that I like the unit
