Just missed the return window, which was yesterday, otherwise I would be returning. Gauge yesterday showed 1/2 propane tank, when it was turned off. Turned on tank and grill, still showing 1/2 tank, grill ran for 5 minutes, gauge still shows 1/2 full but tank is empty. Replaced with a full tank, no gauge, and back up and running. Will go back to estimating tank, gauge is going in the trash can. Had higher hopes it would work. ... show more

Female fit to the propane tank feels kinda larger/loose but will fit the tank male outlet. Works out of the box without any tinkering. Previously bought FlameKing which has more reviews but did not work. There must have been sandy debris in the valve as it reads half full on a new tank and within 2 hours of use, read empty and gas output dropped to negligible as it metered (only the nearest burner had flame). Tank felt heavy though, so I bought this gauge and it read 3/4 full and gas output was normal on all 4 burners. Highly recommend. ... show more

I give this 4 Stars because it is a bit tricky to install. I read of one person that had a problem with leakage and so did I, at first attempt of install. Someone also complained of short threading and leakage. So I examined all the parts including the tank nozzle threads after my 1st attempt that produced a large leak not at the tank, but at the coupling of the barbecue gas valve and the collar of the gauge. Here’s my fix of this problem...I pushed the barbecue gas valve hose into the gauge until it bottomed against the seal in the gauge, then tightened the collar down. You cannot rely on the collar alone to make the seal work. Then I used the collar on the other end of the gauge to fasten it to the tank. That end seals with the collar alone being tightened. The gauge works great now, no leaks! ... show more

I ordered this recently because I wanted to be able to see how much propane I had in my tank for the grill. I installed it very easily, and the gauge showed right away that I had about a half a tank of propane. That seemed accurate. I just went outside to light my drill and the gage shows that I have a half a tank of propane. But the grill won’t light. I took off the gauge and reinstalled it on the same tank. Now it shows that I have a full tank. The grill wont light. Obviously the gauge is defective. Since I just ordered this a few weeks ago I tried to return/replace it, but it shows that the item is not eligible for return or replacement. Waste of money. ... show more
