I had ordered the size that my son takes. He always has a little room on the waist. These are pretty tight on the waist. The length is ok but the waist is overly snug. Other than that the material seems to be pretty good. And they’re warm.

Just got delivered today and I already had to try them out on a walk down the trail outside my house , they are extremely well made ,love the material on the knees and they are really stretchy and comfortable with a soft thin fleece lining that really keeps the cold morning chill away unlike a pair of jeans. I bought a pair for backpacking last year and there still going strong too but I got them in a different color ,and wanted another pair to hike this season on the Appalachian trail. These are the black one's that have the orange trim and they are true to size and fit amazing, I'm 6foot 2 and am slender with a typical dad belly lol and they fit perfect on my waist and the elastic and double belt loops are wide enough for my webbed belt ,the bottoms fall right at the top of my lace and look almost like I had them tailored to my size. The zippered bottoms are really nice too to go over my hikers and keep out the sticks and stones that get tossed up into my shoes being a hiker and the reinforced knees are great ,reminds me of the material on briar resistant hunting pants . I absolutely love the zippered pockets that's a must being a section hiker to keep my stuff safe . I get comments about these pants all the time where I get them and how neat they are, and I just can't remember when I had a better pair . I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who spends time in the outdoors or who works outside and there perfect on the trail or at night at a campground or hunting camp . Bought 2, one for me, 1 for my son. They look real nice. The fit is loose and long on both pair. I'm 5'6", 145lbs, son is 5'10" 170 lbs. Ordered 30X28 for me, 32X32 for my son. Used them last weekend hiking in snow covered mtn trail, 32-38 degrees, kept us comfortable, not too warm. They zip up/down at leg bottom to fit over boots, didn't need them with my hiking boots.
