This is a fantastic value for a good quality Gen 2 raw carbon fiber pickleball paddle. It has all of the key construction features of a current 16mm Gen 2 thermoformed raw carbon fiber paddle and does not have over the top graphics advertising an unknown brand. It just has a good clean understated look of a modern performance paddle. The T700 paddle surfaces have decent grit which does provide some very good spin. This paddle has the typical elongated paddle shape and dimensions with a standard handle length. The handle is well constructed and feels good in your hand. The paddle has a slightly soft feel and offers good touch and control. It has decent power but would be considered more of a all court paddle leaning towards control vs power. My paddle weighed exactly 8.0 oz. I virtually always end up adding weight to my paddles to increase stability, maximize the sweet spot, and add a touch of extra power. I tested this one without any weight briefly before adding weight. It felt pretty good, but was lighter than I prefer. Then I went ahead and added some tungsten tape to the throat and up the lower third of the sides along with 0.6oz in the butt cap. This brought the weight up to 9.1 oz, but it feels like a much lighter paddle. With those small tweaks, this paddle plays extremely well, is forgiving, dinks and resets well, has reasonable power, excellent spin, and is still fast at the net. This paddle comes with a nice neoprene cover and 3 overgrips to make for an overall nice package. I added the following to maximize the performance to my liking: Pickleball Effect Overgrip in blue matching the paddle graphics Pickleball Effect Tungsten Tape in 1 gram/inch - 6 inches on each side Lead butt cap weight with carbon fiber vinyl wrap covering added before adding overgrip. ... show more
