It's been great for weaving bracelets and lanyards. Used it hunting for assorted application. Wicks works great but sometime makes it hard to melt the ends.of a bracelets or lanyards because it wants to burn LOL.. I've made a couple orders in different colors so far

The media could not be loaded. The price is right! That's the first thing. It's a good value, plus they aren't just including a fire cord, but you get the added benefit of the fishing line (doubt I will use, but it's nice to have) and some tinder cord. I bought some to lace my boots. That way, I ALWAYS have it in case of emergency. I can see using the fishing line portion for an alarm system or snares more than fishing. I hope I never find myself in a situation where I have to use it, but if I do, I am all set! It definitely makes hiking and camping a little more fun to know I have this security. The fire cord works too! It's nice to know that it lights easily so if I do need it, it will work! I would estimate a 6 inch piece burns well over one minute! Check out the video. I bought 4 hanks of this stuff. I have some in my jeep too! You never know when it might come in handy! UPDATE: FEB 2020. It took a few weeks to measure and cut, but when I did, I found it was more like 95 feet than 100. I downgraded the stars slightly because of this. It’s still great cordage, just short!

I purchased this for a very specific application. I carry a "go" kit in my vehicle and when I read about this cord I realized it was perfect for the modification I had made to my Cold Steel Rifleman's Hawk. I had previously drilled the handle of this along the center of the shaft to allow me to carry a 5/16" DIA Ferrocerium Fire Starter rod. I had been using a regular paracord lanyard to keep it in place. Since this cord has a tender cord for ease in fire starting I ordered it and used it to replace the older lanyard. I have tested the tinder cord and it was easy to start a fire using it. Now I have a means to easily prepare a fire all in one package.
