Just so you know, this GarveeLife chair is pretty comfortable and will make a great outdoor chair for this summer! However, there are some discrepancies in the listing info that you should be aware. First off, there is no handwoven UV protected PE wicker anywhere on this product like the description says. It's a completely powder coated steel frame and Papasan cage. The listing also describes the chair to be easily setup in 10 minutes as parts snap together. However, setup for me took around 45 minutes and nothing was simply snapped together. There are 4 big Papasan cage sections that needed to be bolted together. Then that large Papasan cage needed to be bolted to the legs and then attached to the rockers. I'm a very handy guy and this still took me a good 45 minutes to put together as there are a lot of nuts and bolts. It's a very comfortable chair, however the 5" cushion is loosely filled, so for someone with my weight I still felt the metal cage under the cushion on my rear. I'll probably find some additional foam pieces to put in between the cage and the cushion for some extra padding. I still am giving this 5 stars because it is a very nice chair once assembled! It comes with great illustrated instructions and all the tools and bolts clearly labeled. It's very large as well, so make sure you have the space available for it and also include the additional space needed to actually rock back and forth in this chair. With the cage and frame being made out of steel, I am concerned with the longevity of this being outside in the weather. Everything, including powder coated steel, will eventually rust at some point. I'll probably store the frame inside and bring it outside when I want to use it so this chair will last longer. The frame, once assembled, is fairly lightweight and should be easy to move around. The cushion probably weighs just as much as the frame. The bottom of the rockers have a nice rubber trim piece so the metal won't get damage on concrete when rocking back and forth. The listings talks about the frame supporting 350-400lbs, but with me being about 210lb, that's all the weight I can vouch for. I can say it held me just fine and felt more than sturdy enough. Overall, I'm very pleased with this chair. I just want you to know what your actually getting compared to what the description says. Based on the quality, being fairly easy to assemble, and having a fun chair at a nice price point, I consider this a great value and a great addition to your outdoor living!

This is a comfortable papasan-style rocking chair with a sturdy steel frame, but the listing description has some meaningful inaccuracies that reviewers have flagged. First, there is no wicker on this chair — it's entirely powder-coated steel, not "handwoven UV-resistant PE wicker" as the listing claims. Second, assembly takes 30-45 minutes, not 10, and it involves bolting together 4 cage sections plus attaching to the legs and rockers — not a snap-together job. You'll need a helper to hold parts while bolting. The chair itself is genuinely comfortable — the concave egg shape and 5-inch cushion cradle well, and the steel frame is solid enough to feel durable under load. The rocking mechanism is smooth. The cushion is polyester fill, not memory foam, so it compresses over time and benefits from occasional fluffing. One important use note: the concave seat will collect water if left out in rain. Bring the cushion inside in wet weather, or treat with Scotchgard. For dry climates or covered patios, this is a non-issue. I ordered this papasan rocking chair to use on my deck. Assembly was pretty straightforward and you can do it mostly by yourself but you will need another person to help you hold some of the metal parts together while you screw. It took me about 30 minutes. The frame is metal and very sturdy, I am not worried about it coming apart or being able to hold a heavier adult. The cushion is pretty comfortable, it contains only polyester fill (no memory foam) so it does flatten if you sit on it for a while. The description claims that the cushion is waterproof but I haven't tested it with rain yet. I wouldn't leave it out in a heavy rain since the chair is concave and you would just end up with a big puddle of water in the chair. I might spray it with some Scotchgard as well or bring it inside during heavy rains. Overall, I think this is a nice sturdy rocking chair for decks or patios if you like papasan styles.

This chair is incredible! I have been missing out on oversized chairs, because this thing is so comfy. Now I want more oversized chairs! Building it was a bit of a pain. The nuts and screws in some areas, like where the two halves meet, are blocked by all the bars. It made things a bit difficult and time consuming since I could not get my drill in there, so I had to use a curved Allen wrench and do it manually. Some of the metal was a tad bent too, but I was able to bend it into place while tightening everything. The cushions also have ties to keep them secured to the frame. Durability wise, it seems pretty solid! It does not creak or groan or show any signs of stress, even when pushing the weight limit. It feels very sturdy. I did not try rocking it too far back because I got a bit nervous, but it does not feel like you would tip over unless you really tried. I will say the cushion is fairly thick and comfy, but you can feel the metal frame just a bit through it. Honestly though, I think you could just zip tie on an extra cushion to make it even softer.

This oversized papasan rocking chair looks great on our patio and the quality of the rattan and metal frame is impressive. Once it's together, it's comfortable and sturdy. The rocking motion is smooth and the cushion is thick enough for extended sitting. The problem was getting it assembled. The instructions were not very clear and we ran into alignment issues with the back piece. It didn't line up the way the instructions showed, and we had to improvise with some wires to get everything secured properly. That was frustrating for what should have been a straightforward build. Once past the assembly headache, it's a really nice chair. The quality is there, it just shouldn't be this hard to put together.
