I prefer metal rakes because they’re lightweight and they work better on our rock berm, which accumulates lots of leaves from several large trees. I already have a metal rake and wanted additional ones so my kids can help in the fall. I got this set due to the leaf bag, which the kids fill up and then haul to the street. It’s just the right size to be manageable for them to move without getting too heavy. Previously we were using a wheelbarrow so the bag is a great improvement. I like the fact that the size of the rake can be changed. I keep the large size to rake leaves while I change the rake to the smaller size to pick up my dog's poop. The included bag is really big and will be perfect at the end of the month when the leaves fall off the trees.
