  • Not quite what I expected
Color: Cocoa
This is my first Garmin so maybe I just didn't know what to expect compared to other brands. I find the range of watch faces limited and unattractive. The exercise options are also very limited. Also, unless I use a watch face that includes a digital time, I cannot tell the time in the dark as the hands of the watch are not lighted or flourescent. Otherwise the watch is quite attractive and the features such as heart rate and step count seem to be quite accurate. ... show more

  • Fun but battery sucks
Color: Cool Mint/Silver
This watch was just what i was looking for. It's sleek and still acts / looks like a watch even when it's dead. I specifically wanted a watch that acted more like a Fitbit than a smart watch but still looked nice and unique. My only complaints are the battery and texts. The battery originally lasted about 5 days when I got it. I'm now down to about a consistent 2 or 3 days on a charge. Which is just really annoying because I bought it new, don't sleep with it on, and have had it for just over a month. The two features that would be nice as an update are; simple text replies (you can only view the message) and a cleaner app. The app has a lot going on and is overwhelming. I feel like it needs to be tidied up so the options don't seem all over the place. ... show more

  • Great looking, comfortable watch but...
Color: Black
Great looking, comfortable watch but...functionality is disappointing. I had been a fitbit user, but was looking for a more traditional style in a smart/fitness watch and this seemed like a good choice especially for the money. The watch and the app do not compare to the functionality of my forer fitbit. Sleep monitoring is weak. In the app when I enter a workout it does not integrate other data such as HB and BPM. The battery rarely keeps its charge beyond 3 days. Because of the subpar sleep monitoring and need to charge, I actually swap out with my old/ugly fitbit at night and charge my Garmin. However, The watch is good looking, comfortable, and motivates me to walk and exercise. In the fture,I suspect that I will have to up my price point to get the best of both worlds. ... show more

  • I so wanted to love this but had to return
Color: Ivory/Peach Gold
I LOVED the way this fitness tracker looked. Really liked the idea of having a "watch" instead of something clearly identifiable as a fitness tracker. This had plenty of features and thanks Garmin for being the only company that provides a product where you can TURN OFF bluetooth! Unfortunately, the problems started quite quickly. I liked the navigation of the watch but when I went to sync it (I only planned to do this once a day) I noticed it wouldn't sync my hydration data. Everything else but not that. Then I started noticing syncing took longer and longer and sometimes I would have to perform it 3 or 4 times to have ALL the data synced. Then I started having problems with it freezing and once restarted on it's own. I could wake up the screen but couldn't swipe. This has happened numerous times. Then I tried connecting the GPS and could never get that to work (works fine on my other device). These all seem to be software issues and I wish they were already addressed. I REALLY wanted to keep it but don't want to deal with the current issues after only a couple weeks of use and others are saying it gets worse. I loved the design. Navigation was pretty intuitive and I had no issues with the app. It does not have a sleep score which is odd and simply a software issues. Does everything my vivosmart 5 does but yet won't calculate a sleep score..... Garmin thank you for making a watch that you can turn off bluetooth!! But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the software! Don't understand why it's so problematic when my vivosmart has none of these issues. Let me know when these issues are fixed and I will return to grab a hybrid style device. ... show more

  • Nice, comfortable watch
Color: Ivory/Peach Gold
Comfortable and attractive. A little disappointed with the battery life after a recent upgrade. I also seem to be resetting the hands more than I originally did. The battery originally lasted about 2 weeks, now it is only lasting a couple of days. Garmin appears to be aware of the problem, but has not provided a resolution. ... show more

  • Looks good, but ...
Color: Cool Mint/Silver
This is my second Garmin Vivo device. While I think they did a nice job of upgrading some of the user interface vs the prior model, it has some notable flaws (likely all software related): * Battery life is significantly shorter - +/- 72 hours vs. a week or more from the prior model * The hands need to be resynchronized frequently - I only recall having to do this a handful of times with my prior device * It freezes in the middle of activities, most notably strength training workouts * Syncing with phone GPS has not worked for me * Carrying over an issue from the older models, the display is very hard to see outdoors I think that it looks great and I get compliments on it all the time, but it is disappointing that the performance is a downgrade over prior models. I will definitely consider a different brand of activity tracker next time I am in the market for one. ... show more
