  • I have to charge every 3 days.
Color: Silver With Granite Blue Case and Band Style: vívomove 3S Pattern Name: Smartwatch
I like the Garmin watch. However, I have to keep resetting the watch as the time goes out of wack at least once a week. I wish the battery would last longer than 3 days. Even though the battery is still working it quits recording steps when it gets low. When sleeping, if I have my wrist close to my head, the lighting on the back of the watch goes off and on quite a bit and wakes me up. ... show more

  • The perfect hybrid watch
Color: Silver With Granite Blue Case and Band Style: vívomove 3S Pattern Name: Smartwatch
First, let me preface this with I'm not a high tech person. I work with ridiculously high tech stuff on a daily basis, but away from work I want basics. And my primary objective of wearing a watch is to see the time. Not when I tap the screen, shake my wrist, do a dance, or say the right magic word (ie, swear). I want to look at my wrist and see the time, then I can deal with waking it up for the extra features like step count, and maybe important notifications. I also have tiny child wrists, so most smart watches are not only a pain because they are overkill for what I need, but a literal pain because they rub wrong on my wrist bones and don't fit right. My first introduction to the world of smart watches was a Pebble Time Round, and it was love at first wear. Then Pebble went away, my obsolete watch finally died after years of the Rebble apps keeping life going, and I went to a Fitbit Inspire 2. I quickly tired of waking up the screen to see the time, so decided to try the 3s after much research. I knew the fancy features destroyed the battery life out of the box, so I played around for a few days with the extras, then locked it down to only the bare basics. With just the notifications for texts and calls on and the step counter, I consistently get a week or so of wear between charges, which is great. And, even better, even after the battery dies, the watch still functions as a watch for several more days. Great for business trips when you forget the charger at home. Seriously, what fruit or other company can deliver 7+ days of smart function, and then another 4 or more of telling time?? I'm in love. I only see two real problems with this watch, which are both very minor. The first is that the hands do not light up, so at night the only way to see the time is to wake up the watch to see the digital readout. The second one is that I was spoiled by the Pebble with that lovely e-ink face. Even in direct sunlight, you could easily read the display. With the silver face of the 3s, sometimes the screen is washed out and it's tough to see the text. No issues with seeing the hands for time in the sun, just a hiccup in seeing whatever smart thing the watch is telling me. I usually keep the screen brightness set midway to prolong the battery, but it's still a probem on auto. Not a killer for me, but a slight disappointment for something twice the price of the Pebble. Garmin tech support is also top notch. I wore my watch continuously for several months, then after one charge the display started dimming as the battery discharged. Called the support number to see if they could help troubleshoot more than the basics online, and found out it was not a known problem. Not only was there no hassle to speak with tech support, rather than even try to troubleshoot the problem, the tech skipped the regular steps of turn it off and turn it back on and went straight to getting it replaced for me when he heard the issue. Printed out the prepaid label they sent me, dropped it at UPS, and about 10 days later I received a brand new watch that was still in the box. I was quite impressed! No refurbished items for Garmin. Tl;dr if you want a dumb watch with some smart features, buy this watch. ... show more

  • Good, screen could be more sensitive
Color: Silver With Granite Blue Case and Band Style: vívomove 3S Pattern Name: Smartwatch
Works fairly well for a low budget watch (the nicer ones go upwards $300-500. Screen sometimes doesn’t register my taps or swipes correctly. Lots of interesting metrics, be sure to read the owner’s manual online to fully understand what they measure.

  • when GPS fails you lose the time
Color: Silver With Granite Blue Case and Band Style: vívomove 3S Pattern Name: Smartwatch
I purchased this Garmin because of the clock face for time. I like to track my steps and thought this was a good Garmin to purchase. However, I now have lost time and am following all instructions for the GPS to no avail. I should have just purchased an apple watch -- for what the Garmin cost it is not worth it. I give it 3 stars because I did truly like the watch -- now I am out $200.00 until I can figure out how to fix it. I would recommend doing your home work -- I may just end up with an apple watch even though it is not what I wanted. ... show more

  • Good looking watch. Does what I need it to do.
Color: Silver With Granite Blue Case and Band Style: vívomove 3S Pattern Name: Smartwatch
The only thing I don't like is the battery life. I'm sure there is a way to change something so the battery lasts longer, just haven't researched.

  • Great, small watch
Color: Silver With Granite Blue Case and Band Style: vívomove 3S Pattern Name: Smartwatch
Battery lasts several days and charges so fast. It's comfortable and looks great. I have small wrists so smart watches usually look huge on me, bit this one really does look great. Super classy design and fabulous app. Only downside for me has been that the sleep tracker isn't very accurate. It is to a point, but if I'm reading or relaxing in bed it's convinced I'm sleeping? Again, I love this thing so that isn't a deal breaker. ... show more

  • Nice watch inconsistently syncs
Color: Silver With Granite Blue Case and Band Style: vívomove 3S Pattern Name: Smartwatch
Long story short, nice looking watch but don’t buy it if you need to have your workout data consistently tracked. The watch is stylish but it inconsistently syncs with the Garmin Connect app. I wanted a watch that was durable and could accurately track my exercise and fitness data. I bought this watch because I had bought a few other cheaper watches that track data well enough but did not have longevity. I was hoping because of the cost and being Garmin that this watch would track data well and stand the test of time. It has been two months and this watch is still working but inconsistently syncs my workout data to the app data. At least 3-4 times a week my workout data doesn’t sync. Today all of my morning data (my run, steps, sleep, heart rate, everything) just disappeared. I tried to get help from Garrin’s customer service about a few weeks ago but after 30 minutes of retelling my problem and being passed around to different departments the final fix was that it was me that was messing up. So I have been very diligent about making sure I push save and waiting for my data to sync before removing my watch to sync or opening anything on my phone. I have tried saving with the app already open. I have tried saving them opening the app. Nothing I have done has fix the inconsistent syncing. ... show more
