After 4 years & 5 devices of FitBit stress (stop working weeks after the warranty runs out, refusing to connect to my phone, needing to charge the battery every 15 hours, requiring premium subscriptions to access features that should just be part of the device), I decided to go with a different fitness tracker. I am so happy with my Garmin Venu! And I haven't even figured out everything it can do yet! But what I do know is that the battery lasts at least 8 days, i have never had any problems with it connecting to my phone or earbuds, all of the apps work like they're supposed to and it's not asking for more money to gain access to features that are part of the device. I mostly got it to track my steps, sleep patterns & help remind me to do stuff (and keep track of time) & it's working great for that. But it also let's me know when one of my security cameras is triggered, it allows me to dismiss alarms on my phone without touching the phone and I can answer calls through my earbuds even if my phone is in another room! I didn't like the silicon band, so I bought a nice leather band from Wristology & it is perfect. I've had no problems with the apps and wish I could get back all the money I wasted on FitBit and started with this instead. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I can be a bit clumsy at times and miscalculated the distance of a wall as I am turning the corner so that I ram my entire side into the wall thusly slamming and scraping my wrist and arm along the wall as I continue to move. I felt disappointed since I kind of figured the watch face would be all scratched up but surprisingly it wasn't at all. Still smooth and shiny like new. This was a refurbished piece and I am pleasantly surprised at it's lack of flaws. This is my second smartwatch. The first was a Fossil sport watch that I primarily got because I wanted to be alerted for emails. It was also good that it had nfc features since my phone didn't have that feature. Now I am wanting a way to listen to music while I go running without having to bring my phone with me. At first the music feature was not working because I was creating the account with my Google account versus the standard username and password route. It took some time to figure it out but I eventually did and whew, did not need to return this guy. This was the Deezer app route. I have yet to try the Amazon music app because there were all kinds of updates that was needed for this watch to work properly. The Amazon music app did not want to download because there was an upgrade I needed. The syncing of music from deeper app did not take as long as other reviewers were complaining about. It was maybe like less than. 15 minutes. I just took off my watch when it did it for the first time and placed it near the router, changed for my run, then came back and it was pretty much done. Now when I plug it in, I noticed that it auto synced the music. Connectivity to phone is pretty good and it auto connects quickly if you're ever out of range. I like that it has a customary vibration alert level. I don't care for strong vibrations on my wrist throughout the day. The ui on the app is not impressive. There aren't too many fashionable or stylish watch faces and the face it feature is very limited with data that is shown on the customized background (time, date, battery and steps) GPS is nice and works well. Alert for every mile or whatever you customize it to is a nice feature. Also has a training coach option that I am just not mentally ready for just yet. Pretty water resistant, I've given my kids baths and showers while wearing it and no issues. Overall a good watch that has a long battery life and stores music as well. Soon all the free trials from the apps will expire and I will simply download my music onto the watch. Have yet to see the watch hooked up to a pc... ... show more
