I liked the band as it pertains to looks. But after having eight or more bands I was disappointed in their durability. The band lasts eight or nine months and then tear. If a person was sedentary or did only white-collar activities they may last several years. But that is not my lifestyle.

    • Exact replacement of original and durable band
My 920XT has been used for 4 marathons and thousands of miles of running and biking for almost three years. The watch is almost obsolete as it does not have on the wrist HR, so I was considering junking it except it is so accurate for measuring running or biking miles and time. I bought this replacement band because even if I give it away, it needs a band. The band is the exact replacement of the original and comes with tools and new hardware to remove the old band and install the new one. Since my original band lasted so long, I am surprised some reviewers said it has a short life. I cannot imagine how they could be harder on it than I was. ... show more

Just had to replace this replacement band after 2 years. Is that good or bad? I don't know, but it lasted about as long as the band that came with the watch originally, so I'm giving it an "average" review. I swim a lot in a pool so that might have affected its life. I have ordered a second replacement, though. ... show more

I would give this 5 stars, but you just need to plan on purchasing annually if you take your watch on and off a lot. This is the 3rd band in as many years I have had to purchase as after a lot of wear and tear it will fatigue and break. This is an original Garmin band and matches my watch perfectly and I would recommend buying it over the aftermarkets. ... show more

Love all my Garmin, this 920 has been a workhorse. I never take the thing off. As such this is my fifth time replacing the band. Maybe it's the pool, maybe I have acid-sweat, it's possible rats gnaw at it in my sleep, who knows, but each one lasts 8-12 months and then they crack and fail. I tape them up when it first starts and I can usually squeeze another couple weeks out but in the end, they all die the same sad death. It's also super lame the black/grey is $5 more than the back/blue (buy 5 and it adds up) but oh well, here we go again... ... show more

    • Pricy for what it is but with it compared to knock off quality
Yes it’s 2.5x + the cost of the knock offs out there, and it’s hard to justify the cost for what it is, but it lasts....the knock offs ive tried are a different material (not as comfortable) and can not take the same amount of “bend” or “flex” as this OEM product without cracking or breaking. Save yourself money in the long run and get this one. ... show more
