Description

Our versatile in-hull transducer mounting solution for kayaks allows fishermen to get out on the water with their favorite Garmin equipment. The mount fits the Garmin dual beam transducer (77/200 kHz) and GT20-TM transducer (77/200 kHz/ClearVü), and is for use with compatible fishfinder and combo marine devices. It can withstand continous water submersion without releasing, all while protecting your transducer (sold separately) within the kayak. The mount — a foam pad with adhesive — comes with installation instructions. No tools are required for installation; however, follow the instructions carefully to avoid damaging your boat. Not compatible with Garmin CV20-TM transducer.

I installed a Garmin in my RIB that has a plastic hull/deck. This worked great and it's still sticking just fine. Instructions say to pour a bit of water onto the transducer to fill any voids between the transducer and the hull. I do this each time and it has worked very well over the past few months. No holes in the boat, nothing to get caught when pulling the boat out of the water. I'm sure this would work fine in a kayak, but it'd be best if you can find a flat spot for mounting. I'd give it 5 stars, but am not sure how it will stick to the hull after a year or so. ... show more

    • Does NOT fit striker 4CV transducer. Needs to be trimmed.

only knocking it a point for not fitting the striker 4cv. From my understanding it does for the 4dv but the new transducer used for CV is a bit longer. Nothing an exact knife can't fix but for $20 you'd think they'd make more options.

Works perfect in my kayak. I kayak with a few people who have glued the transponder in and they always seem to struggle with connection. Not me, works the first try every time.

I am sure this product would work for some but it was a waste of money for me. I have a large sit on top tandem kayak so it has four holes in the bottom and I discovered I could just put my transducer cable through any of them and pull it up through. It fit perfectly and I used a small bungee to keep it in place. Works a lot better than being inside the kayak that way. I would recommend trying different things out with your kayak before making this purchase because it was a lot of money for what is essentially a block of foam packing material and glue. ... show more

Works great with my Garmin 551DV and GT20-LM. One side comes with 3M adhesive which is pretty sticky. You're supposed to add water on the inside when you insert the transducer otherwise it doesn't work. I also used marine sealant to seal the inside (where the water goes) that way the water doesn't leak but i'm sure it'd work without it. I LOVE not adding and draft to my kayak because it is mounted inside! Zero chance of hitting my transducer on rocks and damaging it! ... show more
