For some reason these traditional bath rugs are getting harder to find. Happy to have found these in pretty colors. I've tried the newfangled cotton, microfiber, memory foam, etc types of bath rugs that for whatever reason seem to be all the rage, but those always feel constantly soggy and look matted and grungy after just a few days. I just can't get on board with them. I want my bathroom to look fresh without having to do the laundry twice a week. These rugs work wonderfully. They're soft and plush. Rubber backing means they stay put on tile. They wick just the right amount of moisture and dry out quickly without getting crushed. The pile remains fluffy, helping them dry quicker and show less dirt. Don't call the housecleaning cops on me, but honestly these can go a couple months without laundering and still look fresh. Just vacuum with a wand attachment or shake/slap them out like grandma used to do. If you want them to last, you have to pamper them a little in the laundry, especially if you have an HE washer. Since I have a front load HE machine, I fold the rugs once (pile side out) and put into a large mesh laundering case. This helps keep the rubber from getting shredded by my machine. After washing, remove from the case, then tumble in the dryer for only a minute or two. DO NOT DRY THESE RUGS IN THE DRYER! You just want to fluff the fibers with a brief, cold-temp tumble. The rugs are nice and the fibers are woven nice but I thought they would be a little plusher then they were. I got the brown rugs and they have a really nice auburn tinge which goes great with my decor. The toilet lid fits great. Overall I'm pleased with the set.

We have wooden floors in our bedroom and with the cold weather it's kind of a shock to wake up and put your feet on the cold floor. I wanted some runner throws for our bedroom. I did not have time to run all over. I get onto good old Amazon, do some searching, cross-reference and find these. I buy two runner rugs from the same company - this "Chili Pepper" colored (almost)2 X 5 ft rug and another similar to it in a "light charcoal" color. She gets this red one, I get the light charcoal one. They arrive. They look good, the color shade / tinting is good. The grey rug has a cool banded pattern. The chili pepper colored rug is continuous - no banding. How do they feel: "OK". I wouldn't call them cheap (they are NOT hard or harsh on your feet), there's some cush and average comfort but by no means would I call them plush. You do not have the luxurious, "sink into it" pile depth on these rugs. They are "enough" / perfunctory. They have a non-slip rubber backing on them. Overall they are reasonably well made, just not the Ritz. For $36.00 shipped and me solving a problem without me having to run all over heck and gone, it's a fair deal. I would feel better if they came in priced at $28.00 but C'est L'vie. I got it done. I'm marking these as 3 stars mainly due to quality-for- price. ... show more

I bought the 2-piece set in Chili-Pepper Red. The color is gorgeous, the material is perfect, and I'll add that on tile floor, the rugs got a nice, good grip--no slipping. But both rugs curled up at the corners (a lot--it can't be overlooked), because the binding was improperly done. I exchanged them for another set: same problem. The first review I saw for these rugs was written by HandyOne on November 30, 2018; it warned that these rugs are defective..the rugs curl/pucker up at the corners and won't lay flat, because the binding is too short. I decided to take the chance, however, because I was ordering in 2021, and many other reviews and photos showed rugs that were okay, and because I couldn't find any other rugs like these ones. Big mistake. Everything HandyOne wrote applied to the two sets I received. I'm very, very frustrated, because I've invested way too much time in trying to find a stupid bathroom rug in burgundy that's like these ones (but without defects). I sew, so I've even considered removing the binding and re-doing it myself since these rugs are exactly what I want. Spare yourself the frustration and hassle and don't get these. And apologies to HandyOne--I should have heeded your warning! **UPDATE: I went to the Target website and ordered a set of "Chili Red" bathroom rugs by Garland (not "Traditional" but "Jazzy")---AND THOSE WERE DEFECTIVE, TOO! Whoever is selling these is unloading company defects, knowing that most people won't go through the hassle of returning them! DON'T BUY THEM! ... show more
