This review is for a temporary green house or cold frame, whatever you like to call it. It is basically a metal and plastic frame with greenhouse sheeting pulled over it. The frame joints are plastic which are used to connect metal pipes. Many competing products are all plastic making them more fragile and perhaps a bit more prone to sun damage. The sheeting is green plastic, double walled which helps it absorb sunlight and retain heat. Care will need to be taken if this unit is left in the sun as it can easily overheat and poach any plants inside. A remote thermometer with a visual and/of audible alarm would be a good something to add. Assembly is pretty easy. It took me less than 30 minutes by myself with no tools. The double sided instruction sheet has a parts list and a fairly good diagram showing where the parts go. Follow along and take your time. Press the parts together, sinking the pipes into the joints as deep as they will go. Carefully, as too much pressure can break the joint. After a couple of connections, you’ll get the feel for it. The instructions do say to unzip the sheeting before slipping it over the top. I found that this approach works much better than trying to wrestle the sheeting on while zipped. Tie the sheeting to the frame using the ribbon already sewn into the seams of the sheeting. The product includes metal stakes and tie-down string. Throw those away. Or better yet, don’t throw them away, just know that the stakes are way too small to resist even a light wind. Get bigger stakes and/or bricks to hold things down. ... show more

Pretty good. I like that it's lightweight, and I was able to assemble it nearly entirely in my house, then take the parts outside and put them together quickly. You may not know this, but outside is not air conditioned. It's the perfect height to hold 4 of the pepper plants I have that are a bit on the stunted side. The majority of my plants are MUCH taller; but I happened to have 4 that were short and they all fit in there nicely! I like that the zippers have two zipper things, so you can open up the top of them as a vent to prevent overheating. Such a nice detail! Too bad mine only has 3 of the 4 working (thus only 4 stars). ... show more

It has a good amount of space for several plants while still being compact enough for a patio, deck, or small outdoor area.
