  • How to easily push it into the ground!!
Like some of the other comments - it was impossible to push the rods into the ground!! We were covering a succulent garden and we couldn't get those darn rods stuck in so it was pointless. THEN - epiphany - We went to Lowe's - plumbing aisle for pipes where you would see PVC pipe and copper tubing/pipe. etc. It's not white PVC but a dark charcoal grey color hard plastic about about 1/2" diameter (approx). It has thick walls and a hole in the center where the rod goes in, there was a little "wiggle-room" for the rod so you didn't have to force the rod in but it was going to keep it in securely. We cut that tube/pipe into 6" long pieces and hammered those into the ground. It was easy to hammer it in since the walls of the tube were rather thick and it was really hard plastic. And Voile' - easy peasy. The rods we found were standing up in a vertical box, not lying down - if that helps at all. Take a rod with you! Good Luck! ... show more

  • Protected my plants
Purchased this as well as a cover to protect the plants I planted just before a heatwave. It was very easy to install, lightweight, and easy to stake into the ground. They have lasted over a month with no issues. Only improvement is that the clips could be slightly larger to fit better. My thumbs had gnarly imprints on them from trying to get the clips on. One did not secure well and ended up getting blown off in the wind. Others have not budged. ... show more

  • Good value for the money
I have ordered 3 times and have used them in my garden. They are easy to set up and they keep the cats from using my above ground planter boxes as a litter box. Also helps keep birds from eating the seedlings as they sprout.I love that I can water right thru it.Pretty sturdy.I like these because they have a top cross connector and not just the hoops.Makes them stay in place and stregthens them.I will keep buying them as I need them. ... show more

  • I don’t know what all the fuss is about…
The hoops were easy to put together. It took me about 2 minutes. I thought that they were going to be hard to bend but they weren’t. I think I read a review where someone said that the hoops were hard to bend but I didn’t have that problem. I have a raised garden bed and I live in the country so I have a lot of bugs. These hoops are perfect to hold my netting. I would definitely buy these again. ... show more

  • Perfect for the scope of my project, good quality tubing
I had a 32” by 17 foot area that I needed to cover, and the pieces in this kit were just enough to do it. 3 pieces for each hoop, four hoops spaced roughly 3.5 feet apart. I wouldn’t have had enough if I didn’t use the fence on the end to eliminate putting a 5th hoop at the end. So a larger kit, or two kits would be best if you want your hoops taller than mine, or more closely spaced together. I used this white fabric folded in half. I did cut the extra length off once I had it up: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08HRYGDH5?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image And these clips to attach the fabric. They fit perfectly: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08M3TVW15?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image I also used landscape pins that I already had to pin the fabric down around the edges. And clothespins to clip it to the fence. Not sure how well it will hold up, but it’s windy today and so far so good. I suspect the snow will push the fabric down onto the plants, but that should be ok as long as the hoops don’t outright collapse. My aim is to stop my chickens from scratching the mulch out and digging up the plants. They have been fairly destroying this bed since the frost killed off the green stuff in their regular area. Hopefully they won’t try to jump on top of it, because I don’t think it’s sturdy enough for that. But it went together real well and I’m pleased with it. I thought my photos might give someone an idea of how the pieces in this kit can be used. They connect really well. There are crosspiece clips to attach the top spine to each hoop. Those actually pop off too easily, which is why I gave four stars for sturdiness instead of five. But even so, the crosspiece clips are good to have. Even the pair of gloves they give you are helpful when muscling the plastic connectors between the pieces in and out. Good quality product that I would recommend. Edit 1 year later: I love these things. They held up fine to the snow and chickens. In the spring, I took the white cloth off and modified the hoops to make them taller and put bird netting on them. The chickens don’t bother this area at all any more because it’s like a fence they can’t get through. I really like the size and flexibility of this tubing. I can’t find anything like it at big box stores or on line. When it comes back in stock here, I’m planning to buy more to use in other areas. And to replace this one when it breaks. They lasted great for a full year, but the sunlight and weather are affecting them and I don’t know if they will last another whole year. For the price, I am very happy with them. ... show more

  • Love this!
I saw these when I was looking for raised garden beds and on a lark got it "just in case". So glad I did! I was able to put it together so easy and I used it to put plastic sheeting over it when we had a weird late spring freeze which saved it! And now that it so hot, I was able to use it to make a little cloth partial shade top held on with clothes pins which helps filter the sun just enough so leaves don't burn as the sun is shining almost 10 hours a day in this spot. Have high winds here, 20 - 40 mph, almost all summer and it doesn't even phase it! The only problem I had was a few of the clips to attach the plastic or cloth or support across the top, were very, very tight so had to use pliers to spread them apart a bit. If you have a raised garden bed, you need this!!! ... show more
