These are going to be so nice. I have a small garden but I pack a lot into it lol. I want to start growing from seed to save money on starters at the garden centers so being able to start the seeds early and transfer to the garden when ready will be so nice. The plastic is thicker than most other seedling starting containers and feels like you can get it loaded with your soil and the tray won’t collapse in the middle. The lid is a thicker plastic too which is nice and better than I expected and the vent option on top will definitely come in handy. I can definitely get several uses out of this and for the price it was a steal!!

We recently installed a green house and found that it is very important to have a system to start the seeds. These trays are perfect so that we start both vegetables and flowers in them. They set up easily and when you put seed starting soil in them it is very easy to do this. We found that the seeds start best when you place them under seed growing lights and turn the lights on for a period of time during the day. These can be self watering and what you do is put them near a source for the water and pour it into the bottom of the tray on which you place the seed products. There are very sturdy and of sufficient thickness to move them about.

Compared to other trays I’ve used, these are more durable and a better value. The cell tray is rigid enough to carry on its own once filled with soil, unlike other brands that are flimsy and need a tray for support. I’m impressed with the adjustable vents on the lids. They snap securely in place and won’t fall off like others. The dome material is also thicker than other items on the market which was a pleasant surprise. My only gripes are that the cell tray does not sit tight within the bottom tray and shifts around slightly when handling, and if your not careful with handling, your cell tray can fall out. Likewise, the dome does not snap to the tray for a secure fit. It’s loose and can easily be knocked off or blown off by wind. The sticker strips they give to hold the dome on is just a half hearted solution to the design problem. Removing them to look inside your tray is a real hassle.

I just received this set a few days ago and am happy with the quality of the trays, inserts and covers. I can easily pick them up and feel the sturdiness of the product which is nice knowing that I will receive longer life from them than others I have ordered in the past. I opted for the 5 tray set thinking it would be a good quantity to start out with and see how well the set works for my needs. I like that once I have finished with the seedlings that I can easily clean up the set and easily store it one piece on top of the other for safe keeping and saving space. The set up is simple to do by adding water to tray, seed starting medium to the inserts and using the dibber to help punch holes as needed. I bought some brightly multi colored seed "T" labels that fit well inside the trays while the lid is on. In just a few days I noticed I already have a seedling popping out! I am looking forward to trying the widger tool to remove the seedling and transplant it safely once it is big enough. I like the height of the lids and the option of opening or closing the vents to maintain the level of moisture needed. So far, so good! After much online research and comparison I am glad I bought this set!

These are great. Started gardening last year but decided to buy a better seed starting kit to get ahead of my short growing window Zone 6. These work wonderfully to not get caught up in buying expensive set ups that online "influencers" say you must have. These keep the footprint small for the space you need. When the last frost passed I had great transplants to get in tge dirt for all the seeds I started by using these trays.

I am so tired of being asked to review everything that I purchase and everyone expects a five-star rating. If everyone gets five stars, then that rating is meaningless. I ordered this because it was what I needed and it was at a price point I wanted to pay. They offered, I purchased and since I am a Prime member, it was delivered quickly. I cannot reasonably compare it with anything else unless I purchase all the competing items and make a side-by-side comparison. I am happy with what I have received and if I need it again, I will purchase it again from the same provider.
