I bought this for the germination aspect and also to grow microgreens. The microgreen project was meh (I forget I have microgreens and don't use them), but am experiencing wonderful results with seed germination. I live in a high-rise community, and am even using this to germinate tons of flower seeds for the planters for my building. Also, the design is nice. My home is open-concept, so I love that guests can see what's germinating in the nursery.

Beware this “item” comes in separate shipments, the first—which arrived weeks ahead of the second—is nothing more than a plastic egg carton and very flimsy and fragile. It doesn’t take long before it gets broken or taken for junk and thrown away. That was my case and when I wrote to the company they said I was lucky because they were having a -20% sale and by the time the seeds would arrive, I could repurchase the entire thing (total spend 180$) just in order to replace the plastic case which likely costs pennies to manufacture. DIY with a plastic egg carton and seeds from your local nursery!!!!!

The greens grow very fast while paired with the gardyn home hydroponics system. It's also a nursery for germination of other plants. We went from having 1 salad a month to 3 or 4 a week and still looking forward to the next one.
