Not heavy at all, pretty light weight for a rake, its double sided too, 1 side has sharper teeth while other side is more blunt n shorter. I haven't used it for what its actually intended for though. I bought it to help when cleaning out my chicken coop n run, was hoping itd make it easier by raking the poop out the sand to 1 pile for me to shovel out, unfortunately it didn't work out as I planned. HOWEVER, I will say though, once I sift all the sand with my sifting shovel, and I begin to rake the sand to spread it back over the floor n ground, it does reveal chicken poop that I missed. 1 thing i dont care for with this rake is that the handle comes loose where im holding it at and I have to tighten it back up again, it does this the entire time im using it, thinking about taking duct tape and wrapping around where each piece of the handle attaches at, then maybe it won't start to come lose anymore.

I really loved the fact that this rake can be adjusted and easy to grab, that was perfect to share the backyard job with our kids! But not only that, the material is very resistant. We live in pacific north west and it rains pretty much every day. But the rake hasn't gotten rusty at all. I would say this is a very recommended product for your yard.
