Unfortunately the company just sold out to Nestlé in December of 2017 which I find to be a questionable company with wrong ethics. I had this on my subscription but I will need to cancel. It gives me headaches and dizziness. My husband also noticed it. I'm not sure what changed but it is not good quality. After reading other low rating reviews, it can be because it creates folic acid even though it says folate and that is why I purchased it. I used to believe this company was high quality but with this problem and recently found out their vit d3 is not for vegetarian and is derived from sheep skin which shocked me. How can you claim to be raw food and vegetarian when it's from animal product. I didn't realized it was purchased by Nestles until I read one of the reviews . Perhaps that is why the quality has changed. I cannot believe their label or will be purchasing any of their products anymore. It's getting harder and harder to find food vitamins with all the big companies jumping on the band wagon looking for big profit and cutting corners. I've been a long-time user of Garden of Life products, but I only recently learned that the brand was sold in 2017. The new owner is Nestle, a company known for unhealthy snack products and unethical business practices. Nestle has been involved in bribery, slavery, child labor, propaganda, water theft, price fixing and deforestation. While the vitamins themselves seem to be of high quality, I cannot support a company that is so blatantly evil and you should consider giving your money to a better brand instead. ... show more

Where do I start? I wanted to believe in this product line by Garden of Life but I just couldn’t. After very cautiously reading the labels and ingredients, I learned that all those beautiful veggies you see listed are referencing the capsule’s formulation. Not necessarily the actual vitamin ingredients themselves. In fact, not even a phone call to the manufacturer answered such questions. Printing simply the vitamin types on the label is absolutely unacceptable. The specific type of each B vitamin in its specified form should be listed. IE: thiamine (as thiamine hydrochloride) or Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxal 5’ phosphate). Very important tips when purchasing vitamins. Ensure every bottle or product you buy has the “GMP” certification listed. If not, look into whether or not the manufacturer’s facility has the GMP facility certification. To me.... it seems like a company used their reputation of trust producing quality whole food supplements and betrayed us by using cheap vitamins in beautiful bottles & packaging... only to charge premium pricing. ... show more

Honest Review (Was NOT given anything for my review no discount or free product) First of all, I am not easy on my hands! I clean, I’m an artist, always lifting heavy stuff...doing lots of handy work etc. but I’ve always had exceptionally strong nails and hair. So when I started getting an unusual amount of painful hang nails, thicker cuticles, + my nails were breaking all the time Then my hair began falling out IN CLUMPS!! Saw my GP, Derm + Rheumatologist: • Derm said hair loss was most likely Telogen Effluvium (temporary stress related diffuse shedding that can last anywhere from 100 days to 12 months). • Detailed Lab work said I was deficient in B-Complex and Vitamin D3 + Hypothyroidism + ANA (Anti-Nuclear Antibodies + Titer Pattern) Test was Positive/Speckled • Rheumatologist decided not to test me further since I wasn’t in pain and had no physical symptoms of any Autoimmune diseases. • (Before Summer Heat waves) I began sitting out in the sun, w/ sunscreen on my face (ONLY) for 30-45 mins a day for D3. • Got Vitamin Code Raw B-Complex, Raw-D + Viviscal Pro A couple weeks in, B-Complex made my nails strong again, no more hang nails and cuticles receded. In April my hair started shedding a lot less. There are many people who don't consume grains and to add them without telling people is reprehensible.
