With the high level of stress of the last few years, it has been important to support the adrenal glands. I got these to do just that in our house. WHAT ARE THESE PILLS LIKE? These pills are a pressed pill. They have a nice smell to them, it is not overwhelming at all. There are rather large, but slick so they go down easily. WHAT IS IN THESE? These pills have fermented organic ginger root, probiotic blend, gum arabic, palm oil, guar gum, organic sunflower lecithin, and tapioca maltodextrin. BUT WHAT IS THIS????? And one more ingredient- DEXTROSE? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? What does dextrose have to do with this pill which you swallow and do not taste? The fact that these have dextrose in them makes me not want to take them. My husband continues, but I stopped. There are other sources of this stress reliever without dextrose used as a filler. HOW DO THEY PERFORM? I did not do as well with these as with other supplements with ashwagandha in them. I have taken this for a while, but something in this blend does not sit well with me, so I stopped taking them - plus sugar is a turn off. My husband does seem to get in a better mood, so I will let him finish them. THE BOTTOM LINE These have great promise, but the inclusion of sugar and negative reactions of me to these made me stop taking them. My husband does okay with them, but neither of us like that they have dextrose in them and we will not purchase again in the future. MY RATING Two stars. Dextrose in a pressed capsule like this is ridiculous. Another rating factor.. I have taken ashwagandha over time and never had this kind of negative reaction to it. ... show more

I don’t normally write reviews, but I feel the need to with this product. I hope that I can help someone that may be considering this stuff. Please be extremely careful!! As a matter of fact, I would avoid it like the plague. I hate to admit it, but I bought this to help with ED. I am a 46 year old male, who is relatively healthy now after dropping 25lbs after being diagnosed with stage II cancer back in October of 2020. After surviving cancer and going through all of the stress that entails, things weren’t up to par, so to speak. I began taking this product based on all of the great reviews and a lot of research I did and the fact that it might help my issue. I though because it is “natural” and has been used for thousands of years, what could go wrong? Well let me tell you. This product almost put me in the hospital! Within a few days of taking one pill in the morning I began getting anxious. I chalked it up to my wife and I of 15 years going through a rough patch (see ED and cancer above) and she had just started working after several years at home. Well the anxiousness turned in to full blown manic depression, insomnia, no appetite, random bouts of full blown hysteric crying, and extreme paranoia! Like nothing I have ever experienced in my life before and I am not joking. Sure I have been slightly depressed during brief periods of time in the past, but nothing like this. Nothing. I though I was going crazy and it seriously hurt my marriage at an already very stressful time (see cancer and ED above again), because I lost trust in my wife who has never given me any reason not to trust her. She didn’t even want to be around me anymore and I don’t blame her. So I ended up taking this stuff for almost a month and then decided to stop taking any supplements for a few days just to try and even myself out. On a Friday I took one last pill in the morning like I had been and that was it. Felt the same as I had been through Saturday, but on Sunday I had a couple of brief periods where I felt pretty dang normal. It shocked the heck out of me. I started to feel like I wasn’t going crazy. By evening I felt almost completely normal! I was joking around with my wife again and glad to be alive. I also slept pretty dang good for the first time in a long time. I write this on the Monday after. I feel pretty good overall, but I had a few brief periods of paranoia so far which scare me, but I am hopeful that things will get better as the days progress. Hopefully after a week or two I will be back to normal. People react differently to stuff I guess. For me this stuff was an absolute nightmare that I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy. ... show more

I used ashwaganda previously and noticed a huge difference with my sensory processing issues. It was the non-pharmaceutical option I was looking for. This brand, however, didn’t seem to work for me at all, despite costing 3 times more. It’s also a bit difficult to swallow. Garden of life is usually a great brand. I use their liquid D3, B12 and C. I’ve also been taking a garden of life multivitamin for years. But as far as ashwaganda, I will probably go back to the NOW brand ... show more

I have extreme anxiety during the bomb fireworks that go off here for over 2 weeks for July 4th. Having PTSD and therapy dogs neighbors don't care is they are killing you or your animals. We've talked to them, have custom signs, they light them off feet from my signs. Ashwagandha makes a HUGE difference. While we move I can take this and it lowers my anxiety, I feel more relaxed and I sleep better. This was a great find!! ... show more

A good friend recomended this for my husband he went trough some really stressful time. He shut down, usualy verry posative, but 3 really close deaths and this stuff had him up and working in 3 days it was amazing, he was sleeping 16 to 20 hours a day. he wont go without it> its been 2 months and doing much better I highly recomend it ... show more

I do not like that these use dextrose in them. However, there is a large noticeable difference in my stress when taking these. I've been out of them for a couple weeks now. I was okay for the first week, but this week has been rough. I honestly didn't connect the dots of why I wasn't managing my stress as well until it dawned on me that I haven't been taking my Ashwaganda.
