The size is measured flat. I don't know why I was hoping this would be measured for tunneling... I have a 4x10 garden bed I've been wanting to keep my chickens out of so I ordered an 8x10 to account for the height of some hoops I was adding. We made it work, but ideally I would've ordered something like an 8x12 to account for the height on the ends. Those two ends have already started to fray so Im not sure how long that'll last but the mesh itself doesn't feel like it'll tear super easily either. I bought this to replace a cloth row cover that shredded a few weeks after I set it on my brassicas. In the last month it's held up very well, been snag resistant, doesn't unravel at the edges where I cut it into lengths I needed for my rows, and watering the cabbages I can leave it on. I like than unlike the cloth covers, this is see-through so I can tell without lifting the cover up how well the plants are doing and if I need to weed. ... show more
