I feel very comfortable using this and I weigh three hundred pounds. It is sturdy but not heavy and wide enough for my hips to fit comfortably. I have a bad knee but the extra cushion makes it possible for me to kneel down and do my weeding et cetera.

I tried it indoors and I love it. I need hip replacement and have trouble getting up after I'm kneeling to garden. I am very sad though because mine DID NOT come with those gloves as a bonus with purchase. There were alot of the same benches for the same money and I decided on this one based on the quick delivery & the gloves with those claws at the end. Sometimes in the garden, you need to get close to the ground for long periods of time for planting and weeding. My back lets me know when enough is enough. Sometimes, it's better to sit or kneel. This kneeler/stool is padded for extra comfort, especially when kneeling on hard or rocky ground. The feet are braced at the sides. These provide non-slip stability when seating, but act a grip handles when flipped over in the kneeler position to help when standing up. Just inside the top handles are spring-loaded squeeze bars that allow you to fold up the legs to store the kneeler/stool when you're finished for the day.     • After 2 knee surgeries, this is a game changer!

I'm a photographer and I garden. I've also had two ACL replacements on my right knee. Getting on the ground and back up again is always a trick. The way this stool works allows it to also work as handles to get up! The steel construction is heavy duty but not too heavy to carry. I've already used this stool once for photography, because I do a lot of time lapse and it allows me to sit down while waiting, but also it allows me to get down on the ground and get back up when you flip it upside down. The included pad is nice, and water resistant. But I actually like the rubber pads that are built into it. They're quite comfortable to both sit and kneel on. I really like how it folds up! It's just so easy to pull the handles and the legs fold in and when they're folded into their upright position they lock into place and I feel like it's very sturdy. I have one other gardening stool, that's also a small tool wagon. I have to sit all the way back down on the ground and has no way to help me get back up. I will be using this stool both for photography and gardening all year and well into years to come! ... show more

This gardening stool is well built and folds up nicely to store out of the way when not in use. It measured exactly to what the product pictures on Amazon showed and can hold quite a bit of weight. The feet are sold and have a pattern in them to prevent it from slipping. The built in padded on the stool was sufficient for me. That said, I do appreciate that it came with an additional pad for those times that I might be working outside a little longer. The only thing that I think could improve on the design would to Velcro on the pad straps. This would be more convenient way to attach it and detach it because it currently you have to unhook it to remove it before folding up the stool. The included gloves have a right-hand that includes digging claws. These may be useful for digging in soft soil. ... show more

We finally moved to raised beds in one of our gardens - and this bench is ideal - almost same height as the raised beds! We still have plants that are in the ground, as well as others in containers, and this little bench is perfect for those too since it converts so well from a bench to a kneel bench... And it folds! This summer our hoop house goes up - more raised beds - and I'm so excited to use this in there as well. I can keep a few small tools with me as I use it too. It's super sturdy and so versatile. I'll be able to use this year-round - since I spend so much time in our gardens (And soon to be hoop house!) If you are not planning on utilizing it for gardening purposes, it can serve as a convenient bench for observing your children's soccer games or any other activity. It comes pre-assembled and is ready for immediate use as a seating option while tending to your gardening tasks. By simply flipping it to one side, you can adjust its height to a lower setting. The product features spring-loaded arms on both sides, allowing for easy collapsing and folding, facilitating convenient storage. However, there are a few aspects of the product that I find less appealing. For instance, the adjustable straps on the accompanying pad can be somewhat cumbersome, compared to a simpler click-in mechanism. Additionally, when lowering the product, it is advisable to have taller plants, as positioning yourself closer to the ground may be limited if the plants are too short. In other words, even at its lowest setting, you are still slightly elevated from the ground. This could potentially cause inconvenience when pruning plants that are very low to the ground, as you may need to bend over. Therefore, it is more suitable for plants of medium to high height. If you frequently spend a substantial amount of time on your knees while gardening, then this product would certainly be a beneficial addition to your toolkit. ... show more
