I wouldn't drop it from heights greater than 3 feet though...you could still damage the exterior shell of your device with a strong enough impact...definitely wouldn't suggest checking it in with your other luggage at the airport either...

The carrying case is a soft-shell backpack. It appears to be good for what is intended: portability of a PS5 with accompanying items (controllers, cords, etc.) The good: Well constructed, zippers are all functional and appear sturdy, my PS5 (OG Disk version) fits comfortably but snugly in the main pocket even with the silicone dust cover and the horizontal stand I have attached to it - NICE! The shoulder straps are fine but nothing particularly special - I wouldn't go on a day hike with this bag. The great: Good lord, the extra pocket space! There are side pockets all over the bag for all sorts of accessories - you can easily find a home for several disks, power and ethernet cables, over-ear gaming headset and a controller. There is a rubberized hole in the main body of the bag through which to run a cable though I wouldn't recommend it due to potential heat build-up. There is a strap on the same side as the should straps that I presume can be used to secure the backpack to the extended handle of carry-on luggage - great touch and points to this being a primarily intended for air travel and relatively short walking trips (e.g. from home to car). In this capacity, it'll work as a "personal item" for air travel purposes. The bad: I would not consider this a "protective" case under most circumstances. It is in no way shock proof: If you drop this thing with your PS5 inside, there's a good chance something will get damaged. I have not tested whether it is waterproof or otherwise protective from the elements. It will protect from scrapes and brush-ups that will typically occur when traveling - just don't let it be on the bottom of a pile of luggage. All in all, a very good case if you want to travel with it to your friend's house, take your PS5 on vacation, or otherwise give your PS5 a bit of protective portability. Know your use-case, but overall, would recommend!

To be fair, this is probably more than I need to take my PS5 with me, but when I do want to take it with me, at least this makes me feel like it will be safe. The backpack has plenty of storage for all my PS5 gear, from the PS5 itself to 2 controllers, a headset, and cords galore. If you take your PS5 on the go, this is a good addition to keep it safe and sound.

It is the perfect size to carry your PS5 and great for on the go but it is not very protective at all. One drop and your playstation is done for. Does a great job for transporting but not a great job at protecting. It is a pretty flimsy material with minimal padding. That being said, just don't drop it and it works perfect
