Like that I can share with my grandkids some of the games we use to play back in the day. Game itself is cute and compact. Come with necessary cords to plug and Play. Has a ton of games to choose from. I don't like that sometimes you have to do a reset to exit a game in order to choose another option. Other than that it's good for the purpose and price 👍🏼

Many people have touched on the various aspects of this already, but a quick summary- There are actual games on here that you may have grown up with in the 80's, I thought maybe they'd be weird clones, but some of them appear pretty legit. Of course, the games 30+ years old, so maybe won't be worth much more than a time killer here and there. My kids played it for a bit, but they're not asking to keep playing. It appears the only way to stop and try another game once you've started one, is hitting the reset button on the device. Bummer. Good news is, you'll be pretty close to it with the not so long hard wired controllers. A lot of the games have weird names that kids may not recognize or realize what they are. The controllers themselves are not great. They are ok for button mashing, but when trying to teach my son tetris on here, I had to keep telling to move over 1 column, and it would go two or more. Go back, try again, and again way too far. The controllers are not good for precise control. I mean, it's ok to kill a little time and see if there's games of interest, but I would not expect anyone to play it seriously. You cannot save progress on any of the games, so when you quite you start over. I probably would not gift this to anyone...

I ordered this to show my kids what games I use to play when I was younger. This gaming console plugs into a C type cord and then USB to electric. Then HDMI plugs into a TV and there you go. There are two controllers that are like the old super Nintendo console. For the price I thought this was great. There are plenty of games to choose from and it's great to reminisce about old times. My family enjoys it on the weekends and for that it is priceless. I hope my review has been helpful.

There are many of these retro game consoles and handhelds out there.Out of the ones I have tried so far,this one is the winner!So,let's talk about it. 1) I like the look of the console.It has a classic 80's boom box design with a working handle that can fold down just like a boom box. 2) The backside of the console also has a storage compartment.Where batteries would go on a boom box.Pretty neat.But here it serves as storage and you can fold up the HDMI cable and the usb power cable and fit them both in there which is nice.Makes storing the console much easier and neater. 3) Comes with two controllers,basically cheap SNES clones with 6ft cord.Buttons have alittle rattle but they work great.Very responsive and get the job done just fine. 4) Looks great on my 4k 50 inch tv.I set my TV to 4:3 but it also looks great 16x9 just has that typical stretch effect with older games.The colors are very bright,clear and jump out at you.They look more colorful and smooth.Not like the original games,but they do look great.Must be the emulation I guess? 5) THE GAMES!Where it really shines!NO DUPLICATES! Say what?!...Yup,NO DUPLICATES!Also has ALOT of great classics like.....Blaster Master,Alien 3,Dragon Spirit,All the Mario games,Darkwing Duck,Chip&Dale,bubblebobble,Teenage mutant ninja turtles,batman,KUNG FU,metal gear and many more. 6) No freezing,no glitching.Every game I have played over the last couple days has worked perfectly. My only real complaint and it's no big deal is there is no way to get back to the main menu.You have to hit the reset button on the console.Maybe they can include that in the next model.But again, it's not a deal breaker just a minor inconvenience.So,all in all I am very happy because alot of these types of consoles tend to be extremely glitchy and usually about 75 percent of the games are duplicates.Not this time,this one is a winner for me!
