A GREAT PRODUCT AND ALTERNATIVE TO WIRE
We have two pastures for our Haflinger horse - a 1.5 acre one for summer use and a 4 acre one for winter use. We had used steel fencing wire on each of these pastures, but over the past 11 years we found the wire was frequently pulled off the insulators by deer running through it. When that happened, it was very hard to find the wire laying in the grass/weeds and that posed a huge risk when we cut the pastures as well as taking time to repair. So I researched polywire and, after comparing specs, I decided to purchase this product. We removed all of the wire fencing from the larger pasture (a huge task) and replaced it with the polywire, which took very, very little time or effort. The polywire is so easy to pull tight and connect with the screw-on clamps/plates instead of the metal crimps required for wire fencing. Additionally, the white color makes it easy to see, especially for the deer who now avoid trying to go through the fence. We just bought more of this polywire fence and will soon be replacing the wire fence on the smaller pasture with it. WE LOVE THIS PROUCT!!

Has some flex, lots of shock
Way better conductivity than poly wire but not as strong/rigid as polybraid. I can test anywhere along a section of wire to get a good voltage reading (also shocking potential for a sheep getting too close to "freedom") but testing a poly wire requires getting a spot where your tester can touch the metal in the strands since there isn't as much metal stranding. It hasn't torn when my sheep have jumped through it, but the plastic posts they are supported on break because the wires have better elasticity and strength. With my solar energizer, it is carrying 6000 volts easily.

Worked to protect bees from bears
I bought this as part of my system to protect my bee hives from some bears that were hanging around. I have to admit, not having any experience with bear fencing, I wondered if it would really work. I can confirm that it worked just fine. I used this with poly posts. I had a bear crawl through the back of the fence and must have got a good jolt as it flew straight into the front fence, getting tangled up and snapping one of the poly posts. Must have quite the zap because it ran right beside one of my hives and never touched it. The post was simple to replace and the lines didn’t break.

Great quality, confusing packaging
This poly wire makes it easy and quick to install an electric fence. Easy that is after you figure out how to get it off the reel. In teh EXTRA reel on top of the package, the wire had no end exposed. After fruitlessly looking, prodding and picking, I finally had to cut the wire to get a single strand. I have not needed to open the main reel yet so I cannot say if the problem exists there. It was a minor irritation but I feel an unnecessary one.

Looks like regular rope fence to me
I don’t see that this is any different quality than the rope wire they sell in other brands for cheaper. I am not a fan of rope wire but after reading the description of this I just expected something with more fibers and a thicker diameter. I would not buy this again but I will use it.
