The print is so pretty! I get motivated when I see creative prints like this one. I also like how this mat is thin yet supportive, durable, and grippy at the same time. It does not slide during your workouts! May buy another pretty print in the future!

Really love this mat. The print is lovely, it's a nice thickness and non slip. The plastic-y smell other reviews mention is definitely a thing but I happen to love that smell lol so it didn't bother me and has faded significantly in the few weeks I've had it so it's hardly noticeable

    • Beautiful but wheres the grip?

It was time to upgrade the yoga mat from the basic cheapie I picked up at Wally-world ages ago. I wanted something with a little more cushion but still provided stability for standing balance poses, nice to look at, and provided some grip. It achieves mostly what it says it will do except when it comes to grip. The design on both sides is beautiful (I got seaglass). The cushion is supportive without being flimsy when balancing. My knees feel better when on the mat and no longer need the knee cushions (which is great to not have to reposition and move in a flow practice). Does it stick to the floor-- sure does. Does it help me keep my grip on the mat-- sorta. It works great until my feet get slightly warm. I am not even sweating, but the minute my body temp goes up a degree or two my feet are sliding around. Would i like to be able to do the splits again some day-- sure thing.. But I don't want to while i am holding a high lunge. I have been using the mat daily for 2 weeks and have been enjoying it minus the starting to slide halfway through a practice. ... show more

    • Yes, it smells - easy fix! Beautiful mat!
When I opened the package, there was a very strong chemical smell to the mat. Think noxious fumes invading the entire level of my house. This was anything but faint. I loved the quality and pattern too much to return, so I looked on other reviews to find a solution. I'm new to yoga, so I don't have the fancy mat cleaners. I used Mrs. Meyer's Basil cleaner twice on both sides, but it still stunk up the room. I then moved it to the garage for a day and washed it down with Clorox wipes - better, but not something I'd want to be around, let alone put my face on. At this point I'm 2 days in and still haven't gotten rid of the smell, so I put it outside, hosed it down with water and let it dry outside all day over a chair. The smell was finally gone! I also purchased the Gaiam blocks and there's a reason they ship those wrapped in plastic... those reeked too! But this time I went straight outside, hosed them down and let them sit on my patio table for the day. By night, they were free of smell too. FINAL SUGGESTED REMEDY: Completely drench in water and let sit outside for the day. I'm new to yoga, but have horrible joints and was apprehensive of a 6mm mat being thick enough. It's very comfortable! I can do gate pose on hardwood without knee pain and tree pose without feeling like there's too much give to balance on. It rolls up and out nice without curling of the corners. I'm only a week in, so I'm definitely not as graceful, or gentle, on the mat as I will be eventually. My mat doesn't seem to care and takes the beating with grace for me. It's a very sturdy and patient mat. The colors I chose are no longer available (Mandala Mantra), but I love the navy and red mandala pattern. When I get tired of it I can turn it over, but not any time soon. I like the thickness of this mat and it rolls up tightly for easy transportation. Some of the design has smeared, the rose gold blending into the black. Not a big deal, doesn't come off on my skin or clothes.

Slight smell at first but quickly fades. Otherwise, it is a very nice beautiful mat. I previously had a basic walmart mat and it was too stretchy. Thankfully this mat doesn’t have that problem! I do wish it was a little thicker so that there wasn’t as much pressure on my knees but I’m sure I’ll probably get used to it. Would buy again! ... show more
