We got this for our five year old, and he's had lots of fun with it. He's younger, so it's taken him a little time to get the feel for the remote control, but he's got the knack, and spends lots of time having fun with it. It's a smaller remote control car, and not so much like a monster truck, as he ideally wanted, but it still works very well. If you are planning to buy these for racing each other or playing in the same area, don't. They cannot be used in the same house or area. I bought 2 one silver, one blue and got them all prepared for my son to play with with his friend and they could not play at the same time as one controller runs both cars at the same time. Customer service was amazing, and on their own it is a wonderful product. They are fast. The controllers work well and it has a rechargeable option to avoid batteries which is hard to find without costing a fortune. Do not get fooled by the rating you see for this car. This car has only brought frustration and disappointment to me and my 4 year old grandson whom I bought this car for his birthday. I bought it because of the high rating for it, He got excited when he opened his gift. I put the batteries in, but after he played with it for a few minutes, it stopped. I thought perhaps the rechargeable battery was not charged, so I tried to take it out to recharge it, but I couldn't take it out no matter what I did. I even asked for help from others in the house, not successful, so I returned the car and got a new one. But I was disappointed to find out that the life of the battery after being fully charged was very short...about 10 minutes or so. I am tired of recharging the battery after every 10 minutes, not mentioning that it is not durable at all as the reviews say since the top came off after it fell from a small step!! I am very disappointed to see my grandson getting frustrated!! This is only the second day he has this car, but I have decided to return this car again and never trust the ratings for items I see on Amazon. ... show more

The car was great for the first charge, then started slowing down and getting stuck on carpet. It turned out to be a slipping drive gear. The axle grease got in between the gear and the axle so it slipped easier and easier. Granted, my 4 year old wasn't an expert operator, and would keep pushing the button after it hit an obstacle. That's why it's gets a 3 star even though it stopped moving even on a smooth hard floor, on the very first day... buyer beware. It's now electronics waste, cheap enough to not be worth the hassle to repack and return it. Plus my 4 year old's mind would explode if she saw it being packed up, easier to make it disappear. I definitely will not buy any other GaHoo cars to replace it. Maybe an older kid will have better luck. ... show more

My grandson and I both enjoy playing with this car… it’s easy to use… battery recharge is fast… it drives great and I love the turn on a dime (close enough anyway). We have other cars and chase each other and race!
