I bought this to bring with me on hikes to take pictures with my dog or for whenever I'd like to take a picture with me in it. It can operate as a selfie stick or a tripod. Just push the little button on the bottom to open the legs, slide the length as long as you'd like, spin or tilt the top, take the remote (uses bluetooth to connect to your phone), and then snap pictures! I would have liked to see that the phone holder portion had move give for width (I included a picture with as wide as I could stretch it) as it barely fits my phone, but you can take either landscape or portrait images just with a tilt and turn. It is heftier than I thought it'd be, but maybe it can double as a defense stick, lol. ... show more

It's a chimera (a tripod and a selfie stick). It's so cool, compact and versatile. I love it. It packs a lot for how compact it gets. Like i said in the title. It's lile the hilt of a lightsaber. Small enough to stash in my backpack, barely occupying any space. The tiny remote on the handle is super cool and removable (for when you use it as a tripod. tripod is compact enough to be stored away in my gym bag it's strong enough to know that i'm not going to break it collapsing it or extending it out for my phone the remote works... but i find it useless if anything overall worth the money... if it ever goes on sale again... i'd buy another one

The media could not be loaded. I like the tripod overall and would definitely recommend it to friends. I am 5'0" for height reference for the picture it is extended as far as it can go. The only issues I have with is that depending on where you place your phone and what type of case you have it can be prone to pushing the buttons on the side of your phone. The remote also automatically shuts off after not using it for so long - which is nice, but can be tricky to turn back on. All you need to do is hold down the button until it flashes. The tripod can be a little difficult to open, so I would recommend opening it before you put your phone on it. Overall I love it and it definitely gets the job done! ... show more

Good stick for the price. Purchased for a vacation last minute. Way more options than we needed, but that's OK. The only issue I had was the stability at its farthest extension. If you have a new updated phone, won't be a problem. Easily fits in most bags on excursions. Phone install on stick was challenging at first.
