Does the TurboX Mini Kit have a built-in air tank? No, TurboX has no air tank. So the gap between rated pressure and working pressure is more noticeable—typical for small, tankless compressors. It is a desktop mini air compressor, and its working pressure is sufficient for most airbrushing scenarios. What is the working pressure of the TurboX Mini? Working pressure is the air pressure delivered while spraying. It is typically around 10–20 PSI, depending on the airbrush, nozzle size, paint, and spraying conditions. Why does the pressure shown on the display drop when I start spraying? This is normal for a tankless compressor. Pressure builds with no airflow, then drops when the airbrush starts spraying. The display shows the real-time pressure during operation. If I set the pressure to 22 PSI but it drops to 7 PSI while spraying, which is the working pressure? 7 PSI is the working pressure under those conditions. The 22 PSI is the pressure reached before airflow begins. Actual working pressure depends on the connected airbrush and its air consumption. Why can the displayed pressure vary from the pressure listed on the product page? Displayed pressure is measured in real time and varies with the airbrush, nozzle size, airflow, paint, and other conditions. The pressure sensor may also have a tolerance of approximately ±10%.

Been very impressed
I got this mostly as a toy/test item, with the hopes of having it as a backup/portable setup. But ive basically been using it exclusively since despite having a far larger compressor. I will say I think other reviewers are right in that the PSI on the display is a bit higher than the actual output PSI is, but compensating for that isnt too hard. That being said the only big downside to this setup is for things like priming, if you want really high PSI of 30+ your probably not getting it with this setup. That being said I as a beginner have no problem priming and base coating with this setup at all and found it very easy and convenient to use. The compressor is pretty quiet , the airbrush booth I use is far louder than it so I can comfortably work around it without complaint, even going as far to watch/listen to tv shows while spraying without issue hearing my show without needing to turn the volume way up or wear a headset/earbuds. As for the ghad-39 I was also pretty impressed, Im not an expert airbrush user, and I have never owned super expensive setups but comparing this to both the cheap stuff ive had in the past and the mid range iwata airbrushes ive had, this feels basically right up there with those iwata airbrushes I had, which retailed for around 100$ each. (give or take 20$ msrp.) So Ive been pretty impressed, especially considering I got this when it was on sale, so the whole kit cost less than half of one of those more expensive mid range airbrushes, yet for me as a beginner feels basically identical in performance and quality. Definitely much nicer than the cheap 20-50$ airbrushes ive tried in the past. Only addition I would of liked is if they included a quick connector in the box. Other Gaahleri airbrushes come with one pre-installed so it felt a bit weird one wasnt included in this kit. Thankfully I found one on here for 11$ and it fit perfectly on this compressor kit, airbrush and was compatible with the gaahleri version that came pre installed on my other gaahleri airbrush. Overall if you want to try airbrushing and dont want to spent a ton, I cant recommend this enough its just the best option I can see as its an outstanding value and includes everything you need to start and basically everything most miniature painters or model painters really ever need unless you really get into the deep end of airbrushing, but even then its still fully compatible with other airbrushes, and the like so I see no reason not to get this as your starting point or even if you just want a small compact and portable compressor.

Great Airbrush and compressor for beginners
It’s been amazing, I was having issues with air pressure, but it turned out to be a clogged Airbrush, and the Airbrush was super easy to clean, and the my air pressure stays constant at 10psi, the kit is super compact, and is a great value for a beginner. It’s perfect for painting miniatures. Be sure to use reducer with your paints depending upon brand

Great for a beginner like me!
I’ve only used this setup a couple times on a scale model engine and a chassis, but so far, I love it! I paint indoors and a loud compressor was out of the question. I needed something quiet and small enough to fit my modest work bench. This fits the bill. I did buy a generic brand setup before this but the pressure wasn’t regulated and it seemed it was better suited for cake decorating. This compressor is much better as you can physically see the PSI, rather than a colored light like the previous one I had. Plus it’s from Gaahleri, a company who stands by their products and actually listen to their customers! The airbrush included (only on Amazon, by the way. If you buy the mini at their website, it doesn’t come with one) is also of decent quality. I’ve recently gotten back into scale model building and this is my very first airbrush setup after being a rattle can guy. I didn’t feel the need to jump into airbrushing with an expensive setup. It’d be akin to buying $10,000 worth of golf clubs having never played the game before. So this setup is perfect. Coupled with their paints, which you CAN buy one at a time at their site, you’re set! I give it 5 stars. Highly recommend to any beginner like myself.

Does not maintain pressure.
The airbrush itself is fine, but the compressor has issues maintaining pressure. Its max pressure is around 30 psi, but without a container to hold pressurized air it just cant maintain it, even with light use. it might be fine for thin paints on a lower pressure for something like highlighting, but for the most part the performance is sub-par, and i dont recommend. For reference, i was using it mainly for priming and painting minis for DnD. Its sadly, subpar.

Good starter airbrush kit. Very quiet, but working air pressure is lower than ideal
At this price point, this is an excellent airbrush kit if you're just starting out. It's a sleek unit, works very quietly, & is straight-forward to operate. The working air pressure is lower than I'd like, but it absolutely gets the job done & makes for a good first airbrush.

I bought this to upgrade my setup and I am so glad I did. I actually returned a smaller Master Blaster (which is very similar to the compact Gaahleri units) because it kept dropping pressure and cycling on and off unpredictably. This unit is a night-and-day difference! Here is why this set stands out: Consistent Performance: Since this is a dedicated desktop unit, it runs continuously while you work. Because it's a smaller compressor, you’ll naturally see a slight pressure dip when you depress the trigger, but it holds a steady, reliable airflow that handles miniature painting surprisingly well. Included GHAD-38 Airbrush: The included GHAD-38 is fantastic. It’s right under the Gaahleri Mobius in performance and makes an exceptional starter brush. Even if you already main a higher-end airbrush like the Mobius or an H&S, the GHAD-38 is perfect as a dedicated workhorse for primers, varnishes, heavy acrylics, or liquid resin work you don't want risking on your fine-detail needles. Incredible Value: I honestly wasn't sure how well a compact set at this price point would perform, but it completely blew away my expectations. Catch it on sale if you can—it’s an absolute steal for what you get. Verdict: Whether you're looking for a reliable entry-point airbrush kit or a solid secondary setup for priming and terrain, this unit delivers awesome value. Highly recommended! I was really suprise and they run sales all the time.

Excellent setup for a small studio!
When I first received my order, I noticed a few issues that raised some concerns, and there were also some misunderstandings during my communication with the first level of customer support. Fortunately, everything was eventually clarified, and the situation was resolved. As for the product itself, I think it's an excellent setup for a small studio. The compressor is compact, well designed, and noticeably quieter than a traditional full-size airbrush compressor. It isn't as quiet as I initially expected, but the noise level is low enough to make it comfortable for use in a small room. The compressor provides more than enough power for painting scale models and medium-sized sculptures, and the included GHAD-39 airbrush, while being an entry-level model, is comfortable to use, well made, and delivers very good performance. Overall, I think Gaahleri did an excellent job with the design of this set! Despite the communication difficulties at the beginning, I believe the product deserves 5 stars. Gaahleri took the time to investigate my concerns, provided a detailed technical explanation, and ultimately resolved the situation. I appreciate that they stood behind their product and were willing to help. I only wish the initial customer support experience had been smoother, but overall I'm happy with the final outcome.

Questionable QA on a good looking unit and nice airbrush.
I wanted to like this compressor, it looks great, it's small, and not very noisy. I own several airbrush compressors from cheap battery ones, to expensive Sil-Air units, so I feel like I can be a decent judge of airbrush compressors. However, I received a unit that I believe may have been repackaged. The seal on the box looked like it was peeled open and resealed. Everything inside looked new except the plastic bag the compressor was in, it had several little tears. So to me either the product was repackaged to be sold as new, or it had poor QA at the factory that packed it. I could overlook all that if the unit itself works as intended but in my case it doesn't; I believe it to be defective. Next the threads on the compressor itself were poorly machined, I could not tighten the hose by hand, I had to use a small pair of pliers to tighten the knurled hose end and effectively reshape/recut the threads on the BSP fitting. I noticed on another review they mentioned not being able to tighten the hose to stop it from leaking, I believe he had the same issue on his unit as mine. Finally the compressor wasn't putting out anywhere near the pressure that is being advertised or what the manual states it's capable of. I was getting between 7 to 13 psi using their included GHAD-39 airbrush. I tried switching from compatible mode to normal mode several times, I tried restarting the device several times, nothing I could do would make it work. Defective units happen, but I felt like enough other reviews were left having similar issues that it's more of a QA issue. A compressor new in box should have been tested to see if it's calibrated properly or able to make the stated pressures. The machined threads should have been checked to see if they were cut properly. If you get a good unit it's probably ok and it comes with a nice airbrush but if you get a bad unit like I did, it turns into a waste of time and a trip to the returns counter.
