  • Worked at rated speed 6000
Just made sure they were recognized by the MB, then turned on XMP and was off and running. I will probably purchase 2 more stocks soon.

  • You should know that DDR5 sometimes has to be 'trained'
I rarely write reviews. However, after my particularly frustrating journey with my latest build, I'm hoping that this review will help someone else. I've been building PCs all my life, but this is a new quirk for DDR5 that I wasn't aware of. When I first got this RAM and installed it on my new build, it led to a status led failure of an amber/yellow DRAM light that stayed solid and didn't turn off. I tried dropping down to one stick with the same result. I moved the stick to all four slots. Same result. I tried the other stick in both the A and B channels. Same result. The likelihood that all four slots and/or both sticks was highly unlikely, so I ordered new RAM. As I was waiting for the new RAM to arrive I read online that some motherboards require 'training' for new DDR5. No, I'm not kidding. That's what I thought too... seriously?! The computer throws an error like the RAM is bad or incompatible and it while it's doing that it's "training" the RAM? Needless to say, that sounded preposterous, but I wasn't doing anything with build anyway since I was waiting for the new RAM, so I plugged both sticks in and turned in on. As usual, a yellow DRAM led on the status panel. As expected. I left on and went to have some lunch. When I finished lunch (about 20 minutes later), no change in the status. I turned it off then turned it back on, and lo' and behold... BIOS popped up. So, I share with you, fellow enthusiast... if you install this RAM (or any DDR5 RAM) and it throws the yellow/amber DRAM LED, just leave it on for 20 minutes and try again before you move on to other troubleshooting steps. Maybe your RAM also just needs to be 'trained'. Seriously, I'm not kidding. ... show more

  • DOA
I have built 35+ computers all but 1 board have been Asus. I bought 2 packages to build for my son and daughter. Built my daughters 1st, Asus Tuf Gamming Z790-Plus Wifi paired with i7 13700K proc, G-Skill Trident Z5 RGB Series (Intel XMP) 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin SDRAM DDR5 5600 CL28-34-34-89 1.35V Dual Channel Desktop Memory F5-5600J2834F32GX2-TZ5RK (Matte Black). 850Watt PSU, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB x 2 and 3060 RTX 12GB graphics card and windows 11 64 bit. One of the fastest machines I've built to date, everything just worked amazingly great. And now my experience with G.Skill Trident Z5 Series (Intel XMP) 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin SDRAM DDR5 6000 CL32-38-38-96 1.40V Dual Channel Desktop Memory F5-6000J3238G32GX2-TZ5K (Matte Black). After Installing all components and turning on to go to post, I got no LED post lights to come on the board, but all case and watercooler fans worked good.1st I thought it was a bad motherboard, After getting another identical board and turning it back on, nothing, no LED post lights, but all fans worked great again, so I had to rule out the PSU, But just in case, I tried another PSU with the same results. So now I thought it must be the Processor, So after waiting another week and a half to get 2nd processor, when I turned on the system, this time I got the motherboard power LED light to come on and next it went to the ram LED light and stayed lit. Took the ram out and Tested 1 stick at a time in all slots and still the same results. Took both rams to my first build and tested them with the same results, LED ram light stays on. Needless to say I have ran out of my return window with Amazon and now out of $299.99. I can honestly say that I have never Purchased a bad motherboard, or processor, only one time got a bad stick of ram and had 1 PSU go bad after about 9 months. I am thinking I had a bad processor as well as bad ram, or that the bad processor damage the ram at 1st startup. I have used G-Skill for a lot of my builds and they have always work flawlessly, so by no means my rating is not reflective on G-Skill, but rather my disappointment in how this experience has gone. ... show more

  • 4x32(128gb) stable @4200 mhz
MoBo: Strix x670e-e MoBo firmware: 1004 CPU: 7900x RAM: 4x32 @6000 (stable at 4200) With my setup, I can get the RAM to stabilize at 4200 mhz in a 4x32 config. I'll keep tinkering with the latest Asus firmwares but so far, it's working well.
